WATCH LIVE: IndyCar at Phoenix (8:30 p.m. ET, NBCSN)

AVONDALE, Ariz. - The stage is set for tonight’s long-awaited Verizon IndyCar Series return to Phoenix International Raceway for the first time in 11 years, since 2005, for the Desert Diamond West Valley Phoenix Grand Prix.

You can watch all the action from Phoenix LIVE on NBCSN and NBC Sports Live Extra starting at 8:30 p.m. ET, for IndyCar’s first race on NBCSN this year. Estimated “Drivers, start your engines!” and green flag times are 9:10 and 9:15 p.m. ET (6:10 and 6:15 p.m. MT and local time), respectively.

Rick Allen joins analysts Townsend Bell and Paul Tracy in the NBCSN booth, with Marty Snider, Kevin Lee, Katie Hargitt and Robin Miller in the pits.

The veteran drivers have led the way in practice and qualifying, with Helio Castroneves having secured the Verizon P1 Award and Tony Kanaan and Juan Pablo Montoya in second and third.

You can see whether the veterans will continue their roll or if any of the younger drivers will take it to them in IndyCar’s first and only race on a one-mile oval this year.

Again, that’s 8:30 p.m. ET for LIVE coverage from Phoenix for Round 2 of the IndyCar season.
