CONCORD, N.C. -- With a seventh-place finish Friday at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Chris Buescher maintained a 26-point lead over Chase Elliott (ninth) in the Xfinity Series points standings.
Regan Smith finished fifth and made a small dent in Buescher’s margin over third, closing to 34 points behind. Ty Dillon (sixth at Charlotte) is ranked fourth in the standings, 38 points out of the lead.
With an eighth in the Drive for the Cure 300, Darrell Wallace climbed a spot to fifth in the standings with five races remaining in the season.
