Today’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Kentucky: Start time, TV information and more


SPARTA, Ky. — Saturday’s Quaker State 400 will mark the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series’ fifth race at Kentucky Speedway.

Here are the particulars (all times are ET):

START: George Sherman, president of Advance Auto Parts, will give the command for drivers to start their engines at 7:37 p.m. ET. The green flag is scheduled for 7:45 p.m.

DISTANCE: The race is scheduled for 267 laps (400.5 miles) around the 1.5-mile speedway.

PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Sprint Cup garage opens at 1:30 p.m. The drivers meeting is at 5:30 p.m. Driver introductions are at 6:55 p.m.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: It will be performed by the 113th Army Band from Fort Knox at 7:31 p.m.

TV/RADIO: NBCSN will broadcast the race (and streaming available at, starting with a prerace show at 7 p.m. Performance Racing Network will broadcast the race on radio and at SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will carry PRN’s broadcast.

FORECAST: The site predicts 80 degrees at race time with a 20% chance of rain.

LAST TIME: Brad Keselowski dominated in scoring his second victory at Kentucky Speedway, leading 199 of 267 laps.
