Nate Jones has officially retired from baseball at age 35.
The news comes via his agent, Joe Speed, on Twitter. Jones, who made 20 appearances between the Braves and Dodgers this season before landing back in free agency in June, finishes with a 3.45 ERA across 329 career major league innings -- 291 1/3 of them with the White Sox.

Nate Jones has elected to become a free agent.
Jones chose to test the open market rather than join Triple-A Oklahoma City after passing through waivers late last week. The southpaw allowed nine runs -- eight earned -- in 8 2/3 innings during his time with the Dodgers.

Dodgers sent RHP Nate Jones outright to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Jones cleared waivers after being designated for assignment on Wednesday. The right-hander struggled in his limited time with the Dodgers; giving up eight runs in 8 2/3 innings. He’ll be organizational depth -- assuming he accepts the assignment.

Dodgers designated RHP Nate Jones for assignment.
The move clears out both a 40-man and 26-man roster spot for Steven Souza, who is joining the Dodgers on Wednesday. Jones surrendered nine runs -- eight earned -- in 8 2/3 innings with Los Angeles.

Dodgers purchased the contract of RHP Nate Jones from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
The 35-year-old hurler will add depth to a depleted Dodgers bullpen on Friday. Jones appeared in 12 games before being cut loose by the Braves, posting a 3.48 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and 7/10 K/BB ratio across 10 1/3 innings.

Dodgers signed RHP Nate Jones to a minor league contract.
Jones was cut loose by the Braves earlier this week but didn’t take long to find a new home. He’ll report to Triple-A Oklahoma City for now and hope to earn another look in the majors.

    Braves released RHP Nate Jones.
Jones had been designated for assignment and is now free to sign elsewhere. The veteran reliever should be able to land somewhere fairly quickly, although he’ll probably have to pitch in the minors for a bit.

Braves designated RHP Nate Jones for assignment.
Jones was optioned earlier this week and now finds himself off the 40-man roster. Carl Edwards Jr. is taking his spot.

Braves optioned RHP Nate Jones to their alternate training site.
Jones made the Braves’ roster out of spring training and has delivered a 3.48 ERA in 12 appearances despite 10 walks in 10 1/3 innings. He gave up a walk-off hit Saturday against the Blue Jays in his most recent appearance. It doesn’t sound quite right that he has an option remaining, but either way, the Braves are moving on in their bullpen.

Braves selected the contracts of 2B Ehire Adrianza and RHP Nate Jones from Triple-A Gwinnett.
The move virtually guarantees that Adrianza will be on the Braves’ Opening Day roster. The versatile 31-year-old infielder, who was in camp on a minor-league deal as a non-roster invitee, appears to have secured a spot on the team’s bench as a reserve utilityman to open the 2021 campaign. He’s put together a surreal performance at the plate this spring, compiling a robust .433/.541/.767 triple-slash line with six extra-base hits in 19 Grapefruit League exhibition contests. Jones, 35, has battled persistent injuries throughout his career, but appears to have locked up a spot in the Braves’ bullpen after firing 6 1/3 scoreless frames this spring.
