With Baron Davis sidelined, Aaron Miles will serve as the Warriors backup point guard.
“I like Aaron. He’s a guy we can count on,” coach Mike Montgomery said. “But do we want him out there for 38 minutes? Not yet. We have some other guys we’d rather have out there.” Derek Fisher will start at the point, and Mike Dunleavy can run the show at times too.

The Hawks made their final roster cuts on Tuesday, waiving guards Aaron Miles and Frank Robinson.
Robinson averaged 0.7 points in three preseason games, and Miles only appeared in one game.
  • ATL Shooting Guard
The Hawks waived guards Frank Robinson and Aaron Miles.
They were training camp invitees, but never had much of a shot at making the team.

    Warriors release guard Aaron Miles.
With Baron Davis healthy this year, there was no use for Miles. If something goes wrong with BD, he could be back at some point.

The Portland Trail Blazers announced that due to a mid-ankle sprain, Aaron Miles did not pass his team physical and therefore the club is unable to tender him a contract at this time.
Miles is expected to make a full recovery within two weeks. Portland is still looking for another backup point guard to add to their roster before the regular season tips off.

    Warriors waived G Aaron Miles.
The smallish point guard out of Kansas hasn’t played in an NBA game since 2006. The Warriors roster now stands at 15.

Sundiata Gaines is the favorite to land a roster spot with the Wolves, who have been hit by the injury bug at PG.
Gaines, Aaron Miles, Curtis Jerrells, and Trey Johnson were among the hopefuls, and the winner could get pressed into some action with Sebastian Telfair the only real PG on the roster. Regardless, none of them are capable of having fantasy value so stay away.

Aaron Miles and Jeff Adrien may be battling for the Warriors’ final roster spot.
The loser should head to Europe. Actually, the winner probably should too. The Warriors could end up saving money by just rolling with 14 guys instead of the 15 the NBA allows.
