Missouri big man Alex Oriakhi was drafted No. 57 by the Suns on Thursday.

Oriakhi transferred to Missouri as a senior, and he wound up averaging 17.4 points on 63.9 percent shooting, with 13.0 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in just 26 minutes per game. The 6'8" big man projects as a rugged rotation player in the NBA.

Suns draft pick Alex Oriakhi has signed with the French team CSP Limoges.

Phoenix took Oriakhi with the No. 57 pick in the draft and he wasn’t expected to crack the rotation even if he did come to the NBA. Hopefully he’ll be ready to contribute after a year or two of development overseas.
