Blake Wesley (foot) is available for Friday’s game against the Grizzlies.
Wesley is set to play after initially being questionable for Friday’s game. With Deni Avdija (back) out, there should be rotation minutes available to Wesley. Scoot Henderson (hamstring) is available to make his season debut, but he’s unlikely to log heavy minutes.

Blake Wesley (foot) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Grizzlies.
The Trail Blazers and Grizzlies play on Friday and Saturday, so Wesley is likely to miss one of those games for injury management reasons. His availability does not affect fantasy basketball, especially with Scoot Henderson (hamstring) set to make his season debut.

Blake Wesley (foot) is available for Sunday’s game against the Cavaliers.
After undergoing right foot surgery in early November, Wesley is available to make his return to the court. While his availability doesn’t make him a player worth rostering, this may lead to fewer minutes for Caleb Love. That’s something to keep an eye on, especially with Love’s 50-game limit as a two-way contract player approaching.

Blake Wesley (foot) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Wesley has been out since undergoing surgery to repair a fractured fifth metatarsal in his right foot in early November. His return would give the Trail Blazers another perimeter option, which they need. Jrue Holiday (personal) is out, while Deni Avdija (back) is listed as questionable. Also, Caleb Love’s 50-game limit is approaching, as he remains on a two-way contract. Wesley won’t be a factor in fantasy basketball if he returns on Sunday, but there may be playing time available.

Scoot Henderson (hamstring) remains week-to-week and has not done any jumping or explosive movements.
Henderson suffered a torn left hamstring during a workout just before the Trail Blazers opened training camp. While he has progressed in his recovery, the lack of clearance to run, jump or engage in other explosive movements indicates his return to action is not imminent. “I can walk around to spots, but no jumping, no exploding,” Henderson told The Athletic on Tuesday. “I shoot free throws, some ballhandling, but without moving much.” With Jrue Holiday and Blake Wesley also injured, Portland has relied on Shaedon Sharpe, Deni Avdija and Caleb Love to take on playmaking responsibilities. Holiday’s injury is not expected to be long-term, so he’ll assume the starting point guard duties once again when he’s cleared to play. As for Henderson, fantasy managers with an open IL+ slot can continue to stash him. However, those working with injury-riddled rosters may need to move on and seek alternatives.

Blake Wesley (foot) is expected to miss 8-12 weeks after undergoing surgery on Wednesday.
Wesley underwent surgery on Wednesday to repair the fractured fifth metatarsal in his right foot. He’s expected to be available to return in 8-12 weeks. His absence does not impact fantasy basketball, but the Trail Blazers are light on options behind Jrue Holiday, especially with Scoot Henderson (hamstring) out. Caleb Love played seven minutes off the bench in Monday’s loss to the Lakers and will likely retain that role until Henderson is available.

Blake Wesley (foot) suffered a fractured fifth metatarsal in his right foot and is out indefinitely.
Wesley suffered the injury during the first half of Friday’s win over the Nuggets, appearing to roll his right ankle at the time. Unfortunately, the injury is more severe than it seemed to be, and the Trail Blazers will provide a concrete return timeline at a later date. Wesley’s absence won’t impact fantasy basketball, but it does leave Portland down another guard with Scoot Henderson (hamstring) still out.

Blake Wesley (foot) will not return to Friday’s game against the Nuggets.
Wesley exited Friday’s game during the first half when he appeared to roll his right ankle. However, the Trail Blazers are referring to his issue as a right foot injury. Rayan Rupert has picked up a few minutes in Wesley’s absence, but this does not impact fantasy basketball.
  • POR Guard-Forward #4
Matisse Thybulle (hip) is questionable to play against the Lakers on Monday.
Thybulle has been available to play a reserve role in each of Portland’s first three games. However, there is a chance he is sidelined against Los Angeles. Blake Wesley and Kris Murray would likely see a few extra minutes in that scenario, though that won’t make either worthy of streaming consideration.

According to multiple outlets, Blake Wesley has agreed to a one-year deal with the Trail Blazers.
Traded to the Wizards on July 8, Wesley agreed to a contract buyout and became an unrestricted free agent. He’s now headed to Portland on a one-year deal that will be fully guaranteed. Wesley offered little fantasy value during his time with the Spurs, and that’s unlikely to change in Portland. In addition to the offseason acquisition of Jrue Holiday, the Blazers return Scoot Henderson and Shaedon Sharpe, who will play plenty.
