The Celtics signed undrafted free agent forward Brandon Wallace Sunday to a partially guaranteed two-year deal. Terms of the contract were undisclosed.
Wallace, out of South Carolina, has been impressive at small forward during two summer league games, especially since he had to adjust to the new position after playing center in college. “Brandon Wallace is a very talented young man,” said Danny Ainge. “He’s got a great basketball IQ and he’s very aware defensively. I like his passing, defense, rebounding and shot-blocking ability. I don’t know how good he can be at [small forward], but he’s a guy we’re excited to see develop.”

Brandon Wallace received $100,000 from the Celtics toward a first-year rookie salary of $427,163.
The key deadline for him is Dec. 20. If he’s still on the roster by that date, the rest of his first year becomes guaranteed. He’ll make $711,517 next year - that is not guaranteed.

Celtics’ rookie forward Brandon Wallace will be out two weeks with an carpal injury to his right wrist.
Trainer Ed Lacerte will monitor Wallace’s treatment and therapy at the team’s Waltham facility, but Wallace isn’t viable for fantasy purposes.

Brandon Wallace has shown promise with the Utah Flash in the NBA Development League, averaging team-highs of 15.3 PPG, 9.5 RPG, and 2.2 SPG while ranking second in BPG at 1.25.
The 6-foot-9-inch, 203-pounder has led the team in rebounding the last three games and has two double-doubles. When asked if Wallace could be brought back to Boston soon, Rivers said, “I haven’t even asked the question [recently]. Probably not.”

The Celtics announced that they have assigned rookie forward Brandon Wallace to their NBA Development League affiliate Utah Flash.
Wallace is the team’s first assignment to the D League this season and averaged just 1.2 rebounds in 4.7 minutes per game in the preseason. He has yet to appear in a regular-season game for the Celtics.

Celtics rookie Brandon Wallace could resume practicing as early as Tuesday, after suffering a right wrist injury while playing with the NBA-DL Utah Flash recently.
Wallace said he has been doing range-of-motion exercises, the swelling in his wrist is down, and he expects to take off the splint tomorrow. He still plays for the Utah Flash, however, so he won’t have any fantasy value.

The Celtics released rookie forward Brandon Wallace on Tuesday.
Had he been on the roster on Dec. 20 his contract would have become guaranteed, so he’ll now hope to land a 10-day contract later in the season.

Brandon Wallace will return to Boston from his assignment with the NBA Development League’s Utah Flash Sunday to have his injured right wrist evaluated.
The undrafted rookie is averaging 12.5 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.1 steals, and 1.1 blocks in the D League. He suffered a carpal injury when he was undercut while taking a shot against Anaheim last Wednesday and is scheduled to be evaluated Monday.
