Agent Mark Termini confirmed Tuesday that center Earl Barron today will accept the Heat’s $973,000 guaranteed qualifying offer for the coming season.

Because Barron was a restricted free agent and accepted the one-year offer, he now cannot be traded this season unless he gives his permission. After signing Barron and G Brian Chase, the Heat are at the league maximum of 20 players heading into training camp next week.
