The Knicks have waived Devin Green.
Green was competing for a roster spot but never had a realistic chance of cracking the roster. The team also waived Chris Hunter.
  • NYK Shooting Guard
The New York Knicks have waived guard Joe Crawford and forward Chris Hunter, leaving the roster at 14.
Crawford played two games last season with the Knicks, averaging 4.5 points and 2.0 rebounds. Hunter also signed with New York late last season but never appeared in a game.
  • NYK Power Forward
Warriors big man Chris Hunter finished Tuesday’s game with 14 points, six rebounds, two assists, three steals and three blocks.
He was 6-of-9 from the field without any turnovers in 31 minutes, but whether he can duplicate this line remains to be seen. We’re particularly skeptical since Andris Biedrins and Ronny Turiaf are both targeting Saturday’s game for their return from injury.
  • CHI Small Forward #77
Vladimir Radmanovic will start at center on Wednesday for the Warriors.
Don Nelson started Chris Hunter in the middle in the last one, supposedly to help prepare the Warriors for the return of their bigs on Saturday. And how does Hunter get rewarded for the best game of his career? Back to the bench so a forward can start in the middle as Nellie goes small against the Hornets. Monta Ellis, Corey Maggette, C.J. Watson, and Stephen Curry will fill out the lineup for GSW.
  • NYK Power Forward
D-League callup Chris Hunter, who totaled 15 minutes in his previous five games, will start at center for the Warriors on Friday, leaving first-round pick Anthony Randolph, as well as Vladimir Radmanovic coming off the bench.
Despite the fact that Randolph is easily the best player in this group, and that the Warriors should be showcasing him for a trade, Hunter will go and Randolph will come off the bench, as usual.
  • NYK Power Forward
Chris Hunter, who was acquired from the D-League on Friday, had four points, three rebounds, a steal and a block for the Warriors, playing 14 minutes.
He replaced Mikki Moore in the starting lineup for the second half of tonight’s game, and should get some minutes for the depleted Warriors. If you own Moore, who played just five minutes tonight, keep a close eye on Hunter.
  • NYK Power Forward
The shorthanded Warriors signed big man Chris Hunter using the NBA’s hardship rule.
Hunter averaged 19.3 points on 55.1 percent shooting and 9.4 rebounds a game for the D-League’s Fort Wayne Mad Ants last season. And while it’s hard to imagine him having fantasy value, he will have some good nights as long as he’s playing for Don Nelson. Heck, he could even start out ahead of Anthony Randolph on the depth chart.
  • PHI Center #32
Warriors center Ronny Turiaf left Saturday’s game with a sore left knee and will not return.
This leaves Golden State with eight healthy players, many of whom began this season in the D-League. Turiaf could have value with Andris Biedrins (groin) sidelined, but only if he stays on the court.
  • NYK Power Forward
Chris Hunter started at center for the short-handed Warriors on Monday. He had just 10 points in three rebounds in 18 minutes.
Hunter is an intriguing boards & blocks guy, but nothing about Nellie’s rotations suggest he’ll stick in this role for long -- especially with Ronny Turiaf (knee) day-to-day.
  • PHI Center #32
Beat writer Matt Steinmatz speculates that Ronny Turiaf (knee) will not play Thursday night.
Turiaf is officially listed as questionable. If he can’t go, Chris Hunter will likely start but the Warriors figure to go small anyway.
