Williamson will undergo an MRI today in Memphis. He should miss some time, meaning more minutes for Josh Smith and Kenny Thomas.

Coach Jim O’Brien continues to call Corliss Williamson his team’s best power forward.

The coach also continues to bring his best power forward off the bench. Williamson averages 10 points and 3.8 rebounds in 21 minutes a game. Whether he starts or not, if he’s truly Philly’s best player at the position, he needs to be playing more than 21 minutes. He won’t be worth owning until then.

Detroit is looking to rid themselves of a guaranteed contract. Williamson, who won the Sixth Man award a couple seasons ago, currently is not in coach Larry Brown’s rotation. Hunter and Davis have been sidelined by hamstring injuries.
