Jazz rookie point guard Dee Brown has still not been offered a contract and there’s a chance he could play overseas this year.
Going to Europe might be the best option for him, and if he wants guaranteed money, that may be his only option.

Utah Jazz restricted free agent Dee Brown has spent the past two days working out with several other guards for the Milwaukee Bucks, according to Brown’s personal Web site blog.
The Bucks are preparing to lose Charlie Bell, who is rumored to be headed to Greece. In Brown’s Tuesday blog, he said he was vying for a spot with the Bucks with Scoonie Penn, Mike Wilks and Royale Ivey. Regardless of where Brown ends up, he’s not likely to have fantasy value this season.

Jazz guard Dee Brown announced on his website that he’s going to play in Turkey this season.
“I was disappointed at first because I wanted to play on a NBA team and stay in the states so I can stay by my family,” Brown writes. “At the end of day though I’m blessed to play basketball and this is what I love to do. Sometimes you have to swallow your proud (sic) and this is what I had to do, It was the best situation for me and my family.” Brown became expendable when the Jazz added Jason Hart and Ronnie Price to back up point guard Deron Williams.

The Utah Jazz made qualifying offers to guards Dee Brown and C.J. Miles on Friday, making both players restricted free agents.
The move means the team can match any offer either player gets from other teams that want to sign them. Brown has nice value as a backup to Deron Williams, while Miles is still so young (20) that he could make a big splash in the NBA in the next couple years.
  • PHX Point Guard #14
Pending a physical examination Friday, the Jazz will sign Sacramento Kings guard Ronnie Price to what is thought to be a multi-year contract on Friday.
A press conference is scheduled for Friday. The Kings recently rescinded they’re qualifying offer, freeing Price to sign with any team. He still won’t have fantasy value regardless of where he’s playing this season. This could also mean Dee Brown, a restricted free agent, won’t be returning to the Jazz. They’re unlikely to keep Brown with point guards Deron Williams, Jason Hart and Price on the roster.

Dee Brown, still unsigned as an unrestricted free agent, will play for the Jazz in the Summer League.
The Jazz retained its rights with him by issuing a qualifying offer last month, but it’s still unknown whether Brown plans to accept it. Brown says all things being equal, he’d like to stay in Utah, but the team plans to add another backup point guard who will compete for minutes with him, mostly to help fill the gap left by the departure of Derek Fisher.

The Pistons Summer League team will include former college All-American Dee Brown, as well as Alex Acker.
Acker has a shot at remaining on the Pistons roster next season, but we don’t expect to hear much from Brown -- he only made the team because Sammy Mejia (Detroit’s second-round draft pick last season) sprained an ankle.
  • DAL Shooting Guard
The Wizards signed Utah Jazz restricted free agent point guard Dee Brown to an offer sheet for a two-year, partially guaranteed deal on Wednesday.
Utah will not match the offer, according to multiple league sources. He should not offer fantasy value regardless of what happens here.
  • PHI Point Guard
Antonio Daniels (knee) practiced on Thursday and could play on Friday, but might come off the bench.
It looks like Dee Brown (one point, three assists on Wednesday) could get another start. We would still rather have Daniels, but he’s done very little when in the lineup, and at this point you can probably find better production elsewhere.
  • DAL Shooting Guard
Dee Brown may get another start at point guard on Friday.
He didn’t do much in his start on Wednesday (one point, three assists), and he’s only worth a look in the deepest of leagues.
