The Suns waived Ike Diogu and Solomon Jones on Wednesday.
The departure of Diogu and Jones bodes well for Luke Zeller and Diante Garrett to make the team. Diogu did have a good offseason and even played in the Olympics, but he’s probably going to have to continue his basketball career overseas.

Suns recall G Diante Garrett from the D-League.
Garrett was sent down at the beginning of January for some minutes.

Suns assign G Diante Garrett to the D-League.
Garrett has been on the inactive list for most games and this is his first blurb ever, an indication of how close he is to coming into any fantasy value.

Lindsey Hunter said Kendall Marshall has phenomenal vision, but said he has no problem putting third-string guard Diante Garrett in the game.
“I don’t have a problem putting Diante Garrett in the game and I’ve let Kendall know that,” Hunter said. The Suns coach has been raving about so many guys, someone not familiar with the team might think they play 11 at a time instead of five. The Suns have an extremely fluid rotation and it seems like Goran Dragic is the only one that is safe.

The Suns have assigned G Diante Garrett to the D-League.
Garrett will join the playoff rotation of the Bakersfield Jam, valuable experience that he wouldn’t get warming the bench in Phoenix.
  • POR Point Guard #10
Diante Garrett has rejoined the Suns since his D-League team, the Jam, were eliminated from the playoffs.
He could see some spot minutes in the Suns’ two remaining (meaningless) games, but he doesn’t look like a player worth adding right now.

Suns assign G Diante Garrett to the D-League.
He was assigned and recalled within the span of 24 hours on Sunday, and now the team has sent him back again.
  • POR Point Guard #10
Diante Garrett has been recalled by the Phoenix Suns.
He earned his callup with 32 points, six assists and six rebounds in Bakersfield’s 106-105 victory on Saturday night. On the other hand, those stats won’t put Garrett on the fantasy radar just yet. The Suns have a sloppy rotation, so he could find himself in the rotation.

Diante Garrett said that he’ll be with the Thunder for the upcoming training camp.
The acquisition of Ish Smith -- and his guaranteed contract -- may have sealed Garrett’s fate, but Eric Bledsoe and Archie Goodwin joining the team put his spot in jeopardy. It’s a little surprising that he’ll be going to join the Thunder, though. OKC has brought back 13 players while players like Jeremy Lamb and Reggie Jackson aren’t going to give up their minutes.

Diante Garrett scored a career-high 15 points against the Suns on Wednesday with two boards, two assists, two steals and three 3-pointers in 21 minutes.
He got some revenge against his former team tonight and looked great down the stretch. Garrett has played in every game this month, entering tonight with February averages of 3.4 points, 1.8 boards, 1.2 assists, 0.3 steals and 0.2 triples in 15.5 minutes. There’s really nothing to like about him from a fantasy angle even though Trey Burke is struggling.
