Blazers GM Chad Buchanan believes that SG Elliot Williams can earn a consistent spot in the rotation next season.
Williams once had a 48 inch vertical leap and has since had patella tendon surgery, and the little that we have heard has been relatively positive for Williams coming out of his second year. As the team is constituted right now, he has no clear path to fantasy value, but we’ll watch from afar to see if he continues to rise up in the ranks.

Elliot Williams’ (shoulder) MRI results came back abnormal on Monday.
Williams will be evaluated later in the week and it’s beginning to look like his season is in doubt. He doesn’t have any fantasy value right now, but next year he’ll be a name to monitor as the reviews have been pretty good.

Elliot Williams’ shoulder MRI results are being sent to a specialist in California.
The Blazers are not expected to have a timetable on Williams for another week or so. Meanwhile, the team has been linked to another promising developmental point guard in the form of Clippers’ third-stringer Eric Bledsoe.

Elliot Williams said after Tuesday’s game that he will have shoulder surgery and won’t return for close to four months.
He didn’t have fantasy value to begin with, but this is bad news for one of the league’s best young dunkers.

Elliot Williams came off the bench to score a career-high 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting Tuesday.
The Spurs didn’t even try to compete in the laughable 137-97 loss, so Williams got hot in the proverbial garbage time. Continue to ignore him in fantasy leagues.

Elliot Williams (dislocated shoulder) is not expected to re-join the Blazers during their current seven-game road trip.
He’ll stay with the team on Saturday before departing to see a specialist and have an MRI on Sunday. He was playing well recently, shooting 56 percent over the past nine games, and his loss is another blow for the reeling Blazers.

Elliot Williams (shoulder) is about a month away from shooting a basketball.
Williams continues to rehab his shoulder as he works his way back from surgery. Williams will go to Las Vegas for summer league, but he’s not sure if he’ll be able to play. He’s got a lot to prove next season.

Elliot Williams dislocated his left shoulder in Thursday’s practice, and will miss at least two games.
Williams will be evaluated next week and we’re calling him week-to-week. It’s a bit unfortunate because his name was being kicked around for more playing time, and he’ll certainly be a guy to keep tabs on over the long-term. Under the current roster configuration, though, his fantasy prospects are bleak this season.

Blazers guard Elliot Williams is fully recovered from knee surgery and ready to start the season.
He’ll come off the bench and doesn’t have much fantasy value as of now, but has impressed teammate LaMarcus Aldridge early this year. He’s got (or had) a 48" vertical and “swag,” according to Aldridge. Just keep an eye on him as the season progresses, as the knee injury has prevented him from playing in his first NBA game so far.

Elliot Williams (shoulder) is expected to be ready for training camp.
Unfortunately, Williams isn’t expected to be healthy in time for Summer League, costing him precious time to develop and impress the Blazers’ coaching staff. He’ll have to fight for a spot in the rotation next year.
