According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Bulls have waived Jaden Ivey.
Acquired from the Pistons at the trade deadline, Ivey appeared in just four games for the Bulls before being shut down for the rest of the season with a knee injury. On Monday, the Chicago Sun-Times reported that the team is looking to move on from the guard following recent social media posts, including one disparaging the LGBTQ community. Not long after that report, Charania reported that the Bulls have waived Ivey.

Jaden Ivey (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
Between Detroit and Chicago, Ivey was limited to 37 appearances in 2025-26, with a fractured fibula suffered in January 2025 delaying his season debut until November 22. Ivey appeared in four games after being traded to the Bulls, his last action coming on February 11. He recently banged knees with another player during a recent practice, an unfortunate setback after head coach Billy Donovan said that Ivey was progressing in his recovery. Given the uncertainty surrounding Ivey’s injury, he’ll be a challenging player to trust in drafts next fall.

Jaden Ivey (knee) will be evaluated by a team doctor on Monday after banging knees with another player during a recent practice.
Ivey was initially listed as questionable for Monday’s game against the Rockets before being ruled out earlier in the afternoon. Unfortunately, a return to action may not happen as soon as he or the Bulls hoped. According to head coach Billy Donovan, Ivey banged knees with another player during a recent practice and will be re-evaluated on Monday. And it is no longer guaranteed that he will travel with the team for its upcoming four-game road trip.

Anfernee Simons (wrist) and Jaden Ivey (knee) are out for Monday’s matchup with the Rockets.
There’s no clear timeline for either Simons or Ivey to return to Chicago’s lineup. Until the pair is cleared to return, Tre Jones and Rob Dillingham should handle additional responsibilities.

Jaden Ivey (knee) and Anfernee Simons (wrist) are questionable for Monday’s game against the Rockets.
Ivey and Simons have been out for extended periods, with the former having last played on February 11 and the latter on February 21. Given the time missed, both players are likely to have their minutes restricted if allowed to play on Monday. There isn’t much to gain from slotting either into lineups immediately upon their respective returns.

Bulls head coach Billy Donovan said on Wednesday that Jaden Ivey (knee) is no longer experiencing pain.
Ivey has not appeared in a game since February 11 as he continued to deal with persistent soreness in his left knee. The good news is that, according to Donovan, the pain is no longer an issue for the Bulls’ guard. Ivey will travel with the team on its upcoming road trip, and there is hope that he’ll be able to play again at some point this season. However, there is still no timeline for a return.

NBA insider Michael Scotto reports that Jaden Ivey (knee) will be re-evaluated in one week.
Ivey and Anfernee Simons (wrist) will continue to miss time, allowing Rob Dillingham and Tre Jones to soak up extra playing time.

Jaden Ivey (knee) will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
Ivey is dealing with left knee soreness and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, though he didn’t play in Thursday’s loss to the Raptors due to a coach’s decision. After the game, Ivey gave an ominous interview where he stated that he’s not the player he once was before the injuries. Now he’s on the shelf for two weeks, at which point he’ll be re-evaluated by the Bulls medical staff. Ivey hasn’t been a fantasy factor this season and his dynasty value seems to be cratering. A restricted free agent this offseason, Ivey likely needs to show something on the court before the end of the season if he’s going to have a market for his services.

Jaden Ivey (knee) is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Pistons.
Ivey is dealing with a left knee issue, and he did not see any action in Thursday’s loss to the Raptors. Given his concerning words after the defeat that he’s unlikely to be the player he was before the left leg injury, this may not be a short-term issue for Ivey. His absence won’t affect fantasy basketball in the short term, but Ivey’s value in dynasty leagues will take a hit.

Tre Jones (hamstring) is probable to play against the Raptors on Thursday.
Jones was initially listed as questionable, but he is now expected to make his return from an 11-game absence in the Bulls’ first game after the All-Star break. The backcourt looks quite different than it did when Jones last played, with Jaden Ivey, Anfernee Simons, Collin Sexton and Rob Dillingham now in the mix. Jones may not be as productive as he was earlier in the season.
