Ja’Kobe Walter finished Monday’s win over the Jazz with 21 points (7-of-10 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), five rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and six three-pointers.
Walter was initially tabbed to come off the bench on Monday. However, he started because Brandon Ingram was a late scratch with a heel injury. The second-year guard took advantage of his opportunity, scoring a season-high 21 points. This was the third 20-point game of Walter’s career, and he recorded a complete stat line on excellent percentages. He would only be worth adding for the rest of the week if Ingram’s heel injury forces him to miss multiple games.
  • TOR Forward #3
Brandon Ingram (heel) is out for Monday’s game against the Jazz.
Announced as a starter, Ingram was not scratched from the Raptors’ lineup until after the listed 9 PM Eastern start time, in a brutal break for fantasy managers. Ja’Kobe Walter was inserted into the starting lineup.
  • TOR Forward-Guard #4
Scottie Barnes (illness) is available for Friday’s game against the Suns.
Barnes is available after being listed as questionable on the initial injury report. He’ll take on his usual role within the Raptors’ starting lineup, with Ja’Kobe Walter missing out on a potential spot start.
  • TOR Forward-Guard #4
Scottie Barnes (illness) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Suns.
Barnes, who struggled in Wednesday’s loss to the Pelicans, is dealing with an illness. If he’s unable to play on Friday, Ja’Kobe Walter is the most likely replacement in the starting lineup.
  • TOR Forward #3
Brandon Ingram (illness) is available for Sunday’s game against the Mavericks.
Ingram is good to go after landing on the injury report due to a stomach illness. He’ll occupy his usual spot in the starting lineup, with Ja’Kobe Walter missing out on a potential spot start.
  • TOR Forward #3
Brandon Ingram (thumb) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Timberwolves.
If there’s a positive to Ingram’s sprained thumb, it’s that the injury is on his non-shooting (left) hand. If he’s unable to play against the Timberwolves, Ja’Kobe Walter may be the player most likely to move into the starting lineup.
  • TOR Forward-Guard #4
Raptors reporter Michael Grange reports that Scottie Barnes (thigh) is questionable for Tuesday’s matchup with New York.
Barnes went through Monday’s practice, but he’ll carry a questionable designation due to a thigh bruise. If Barnes is ultimately ruled out, Ja’Kobe Walter could replace him in the starting five, making him worth a look as a deep-league streamer.
  • TOR Guard #14
Ja’Kobe Walter provided a boost off the bench with 17 points (6-of-9 FGs), four rebounds, one assist, one steal and five three-pointers on Tuesday against the Thunder.
After scoring just nine points as a starter on Sunday, Walter returned to the bench for this game. He was able to match his season high for three-pointers, and he could be in line for more success against the Spurs on Wednesday. Scottie Barnes (quad) is questionable, and Walter started in place of Barnes on Sunday. Walter could start if Barnes ends up missing the game.
  • Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett, Brandon Ingram, Scottie Barnes and Collin Murray-Boyles will start against the Thunder on Tuesday.
With Jakob Poeltl (back) sidelined for this game, CMB will make a return to the starting unit. Barnes is also back after a one-game absence, which pushes Ja’Kobe Walter to the bench, eliminating the streaming value he held.
  • TOR Guard #14
Immanuel Quickley, Ja’Kobe Walter, RJ Barrett, Brandon Ingram and Jakob Poeltl will start Sunday’s game against the Bucks.
Scottie Barnes is out for personal reasons, opening up a spot within the Raptors’ starting lineup. He’ll be replaced by Walter, who is worth the streaming risk in deep leagues. The other change to the lineup is Poeltl, who returns to his usual role after coming off the bench in Thursday’s win over the Bulls. Collin Murray-Boyles will come off the bench.
