The NBA G League announced on Thursday that Jason Hart has been named the new head coach of the G League Ignite.
This is an important position when it comes to the development of NBA talent, as the G League has taken a more proactive approach in signing young players who aren’t yet eligible for the NBA Draft. Hart, who played nine seasons in the NBA, was most recently Andy Enfield’s top assistant at USC. The former Syracuse point guard fills the void left by Brian Shaw, who back in July was stepping down to reportedly join the Clippers coaching staff. The G League Ignite team produced three draft picks in its first season, with Jalen Green and Jonathan Kuminga being lottery picks and Isaiah Todd being selected in the second round.

Stan Van Gundy said Eric Bledsoe will start on Sunday vs the Kings.
Bledsoe came off the bench on Friday when he returned from an eye injury and he struggled, scoring just seven points in 21 minutes. SVG will re-insert him backing in the starting unit, however, and said he’ll determine which of Josh Hart and Nickeil Alexander-Walker will join him before the game. Bledsoe’s fantasy manager can relax for now unless the guard has another bad game.

Jason Hart has been moved to the bench as Brevin Knight’s backup at point guard.
The move should free up up minutes for Keith Bogans and Kareem Rush at shooting guard. The way Knight has been racking up the assists, Hart’s value take a real tumble.

Jason Hart is expected to play on Tuesday against Utah, but it will come down to whether or not he can practice on Monday.
Hart sprained the ankle against Boston on Friday and played through it. He started Saturday’s game against Golden St., but aggravated the injury and couldn’t finish the game. With Brevin Knight already out, the Bobcats can’t afford to lose Hart, so he will likely be ready to go on Tuesday. If he can’t go, Steve Smith would likely get the start at point guard.
  • NOP Point Guard
Jason Hart was unable to practice Wednesday and is unlikely to play tonight.
He hasn’t played since injuring his ankle on Saturday.

Jason Hart, cut by the Sonics on Oct. 23, is expected to join the Spurs today and play Saturday.
Hart spent half of 2001-02 with San Antonio, and will give them some depth at point guard while Tony Parker and Anthony Carter are hurt.

Jason Hart, who averaged 6.6 points and 3.8 assists starting in place of Tony Parker, was back on the bench last night.
Hart could stick around a while. He’s serving now as the No. 2 point guard with Anthony Carter still out.
  • NOP Point Guard
Jason Hart’s mild concussion shouldn’t prevent him from playing tonight.
Hart will help back up Tony Parker.
  • OKC Guard-Forward #34
Kenrich Williams (right lower back soreness) won’t play Saturday vs. Boston.
This will be William’s third consecutive game on the bench due to the back issue. Josh Hart is fully expected to draw another start Saturday night.
  • TOR Forward #3
The Lakers announced on Saturday that Brandon Ingram (arm) is expected to miss the remainder of the 2018-19 season.
Ingram, who had missed two straight games due to a sore right shoulder, underwent further testing on Friday which revealed a Deep Venous Thrombosis (DVT) in his arm. It’s a very disappointing end to the 2018-19 campaign for Ingram, who was playing arguably the best ball of his career prior to the injury. In his final six games, Ingram averaged 27.8 points (on 57.0 percent shooting), 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest. Expect Josh Hart, Lance Stephenson and Reggie Bullock to continue to soak up extra minutes.
