McCoy

McCoy played in just two games last season before being released by the Cavs in November. He’s probably battling Zendon Hamilton for a spot on Milwaukee’s injured list.

McCoy is day-to-day. Michael Bradley filled in for him against the Clippers.

McCoy missed two games after getting hurt on Jan. 31.

The Bucks still have 16 players on their roster. Brandon Williams figures to be the final cut.

The Hawks felt they needed to get a little bigger. McCoy will compete with Jason Collier, Predrag Drobnjak and Kevin Willis for minutes.

McCoy averaged 1.5 points and 2.1 rebounds in 10 games.

McCoy, who was elbowed by Jeff Foster last Friday, will have surgery to reset his septum and nasal bone. He is expected to resume practicing by the end of the week and will wear a custom-fitted face mask for several weeks.

McCoy averaged 6.8 points and 5.3 rebounds in 67 games with the Raptors last season. He’ll attempt to make the Cavs as a reserve.

McCoy has averaged 4.9 points and 3.7 rebounds in his career with the Sonics, Lakers, and Raptors. He’s expected to compete with Bruno Sundov and non-roster invitee Geoff Owens for a spot as a reserve center.

McCoy, 6-foot-10, 245 pounds, averaged eight points, 6.5 rebounds, four blocks and 3.5 assists in two games with the L.A. D-Fenders in the D League. The Nuggets released guard Mike Wilks earlier to clear a roster spot for a big man. Nene (thumb) and Steven Hunter (knee) are both out for at least a month, while power forward Kenyon Martin is recovering from a bruised knee.
