According to Bobby Marks of The Vertical, Jordan Adams’ roster spot could be in trouble if Troy Williams has a strong training camp.
Adams had yet another knee surgery in June and is currently out indefinitely, so the Grizzlies may be forced to move on. The 22nd pick in the 2014 draft has played in a total of 32 games since entering the league two years ago. He’s only 22 years old, so he should be able to get his career going if he can get his knee right.

Jordan Adams is scheduled to undergo cartilage transplant surgery on his troublesome right knee.
Adams was taken with the No. 22 overall selection in the 2014 NBA draft, and since then he has undergone two procedures on his right knee whilst suiting up for a mere 32 games over the course of two NBA seasons. Adams had been aggressively rehabbing from his most recent procedure, but with the pain being a constant, it was determined that a cartilage transplant would be the best course of action. We wish Adams the best as he goes through what will likely be another lengthy rehab.

The Grizzlies will waive G Jordan Adams, sources told Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune.
Adams has not been able to stay healthy since the Grizzlies made him a first round pick in 2014. After being limited to just two games last season, it looks like Memphis has made the decision to move on. We should have official confirmation of the move soon.

Troy Williams has made the opening night roster for Memphis, sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.
Williams would have been scooped up if exposed to waivers, so the decision to keep him makes sense. In related news, the team is expected to waive former-first round pick Jordan Adams as well as D-League sensation D.J. Stephens.

Jordan Adams “isn’t expected to play for the Griz for a second straight season,” according to Ronald Tillery of the Commercial Appeal.
Adams underwent a lateral meniscectomy on his right knee in August of 2015, and he’s been battling with nothing but complications since. He’s not expected to be able to participate in training camp and both the player and the team remain in an uncertain waiting game. Obviously, he’s not on any fantasy radar.

The Grizzlies have waived G Jordan Adams.
It was a matter of when, not if, the Grizzlies would make this move and it became official on Tuesday.

Jordan Adams (knee) won’t be ready for training camp and will not participate in the preseason either.
Adams underwent cartilage transplant surgery in his right knee back in June, and while he’s “progressing as expected,” he hasn’t been cleared for court activity yet. He currently has no timetable for a return and will be reevaluated on a weekly basis. The 22nd pick in the 2014 draft will hopefully be able to get his career on track once he’s finally healthy, but we’re not projecting a significant role for him this season.

The Oklahoma City Blue have reportedly claimed G Jordan Adams off waivers.
Adams has been injured most of his career, and he may have already played his last NBA game.

Grizzlies head coach Dave Joerger spoke highly of rookie Jordan Adams during a recent interview, saying he’s gotten much better as a shooter.
Adams was used sparingly during his rookie season, averaging just 8.3 minutes, 3.1 points and 0.3 three-pointers a game on 40.7 percent shooting from the field. He did, however, have a very nice outing towards the end of the regular-season, going off for 19 points with two 3-pointers. The Grizzlies seriously need to add some 3-point shooting to their roster if they hope to compete at a championship level in today’s NBA, and perhaps Adams could fill that role for Memphis. We’ll be tracking his progress this offseason, but until he becomes a regular part of the rotation, he won’t have any standard league value.

Jordan Adams carried the offensive load against the Nets during an 81-73 win on Saturday, adding five rebounds, one assist, three steals and three turnovers.
He was on fire to start the game, but the Nets defended him better in the second half. Adams is a go-to scorer when he’s on, but the Grizzlies just don’t have room for him to be a regular contributor.
