Free agent G Marcus Georges-Hunt reportedly has workouts scheduled with multiple teams.
Since entering the league in 2016, Georges-Hunt has had stints with the Magic, Timberwolves and (primarily) the Celtics’ G League affiliate in Maine. He has recovered from a torn meniscus last year and may earn a training-camp invite, but there’s no reason to assume he’ll benefit fantasy owners.

    Celtics waived G Marcus Georges-Hunt.
Georges-Hunt showed some flashes in limited minutes with the Wolves last season. There’s a good chance he’ll find a spot with another NBA team, but he still won’t be worth a look in fantasy.

Marcus Georges-Hunt will join the Celtics for camp.
Not exactly the big news we want to from an ex-Wolf. Georges-Hunt could get minutes in the preseason while Marcus Smart (personal) is away from the team. His outlook on the roster could also hinge on the status of Jabari Bird.

Marcus Georges-Hunt has signed a training camp deal with the Celtics.
The undrafted senior out of Georgia Tech didn’t make much of an impact for the Nets during the summer league, averaging just 2.8 points and 1.0 rebound in 13.2 minutes per game. His chances of making the 15-man roster are very slim.

The Celtics have waived G Marcus Georges-Hunt.
Georges-Hunt just wasn’t able to do enough during training camp to earn a roster spot. He’s likely bound for the D-League.

Marcus Georges-Hunt’s 10-day contract with the Heat has expired.
The Heat would have to waive a player in order to re-sign Georges-Hunt to another 10-day deal, as Josh Richardson (foot) is set to return after the All-Star break. He didn’t even make an appearance for the Heat, so this won’t have an impact on the rotation.

The Heat will sign Marcus Georges-Hunt to a 10-day deal.
The 6'6" small forward has played well for the Maine Red Claws, averaging 16.4 points, 5.8 boards, 4.2 assists and 1.0 steals in 36.8 minutes per game. Georges-Hunt is not expected to be in the rotation.
  • Shooting Guard #8
Marcus Georges-Hunt has officially signed with the Magic.
Patricio Garino was also signed by the Magic on Monday, while C.J. Wilcox was waived. It’s not clear if either player will get a chance at minutes during the final five games of the season, but they are expected to play summer-league ball for the Magic and will have a chance to make the 15-man roster during training camp.

Frank Vogel said he’ll start with his regular lineup for Wednesday’s regular-season finale against the Pistons, and then, “play it by ear after that.”
It sounds like Vogel would like to get an extended look at some of the younger guys on the roster tonight, so Mario Hezonja could see his minutes in the 30s again, and new additions Marcus Georges-Hunt and Patricio Garino could see some extended minutes in the rotation. If these guys do indeed earn significant minutes in the rotation tonight, Terrence Ross might only see his minutes in the 20s.

Frank Vogel indicated that he’ll give meaningful minutes to Patricio Garino, Marcus Georges-Hunt and Stephen Zimmerman for Wednesday’s regular-season finale vs. Detroit.
Vogel hinted after shootaround that he would not stick with his usual rotation on Wednesday night in order to get a better look at some of the younger guys on the roster, so meaningful minutes for the aforementioned players will likely come at the expense of Evan Fournier, Terrence Ross and Nikola Vucevic.
