Daniel Gafford (ankle) is probable to play against the Knicks on Wednesday.
Gafford sat out the second leg of the Mavericks’ back-to-back on Monday, but he’ll be back and likely return to the starting lineup. Gafford’s return will push Moussa Cisse to the bench, and with Dereck Lively II (knee) also back, Cisse’s role will likely be minimal, if he sees the floor at all.
  • DAL Center #2
Dereck Lively II (knee) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Suns.
Lively has missed the last eight games with a sprained right knee, leaving Daniel Gafford as the starting center. The player who would take the most significant hit if Lively returns is Moussa Cissé, who has played rotation minutes in four of the Mavericks’ last five games. That hasn’t been enough to impact fantasy basketball, however.
  • DAL Forward-Center #3
Anthony Davis (calf) has been ruled out against the Wizards on Saturday.
Davis will miss a fifth straight game, while Daniel Gafford is still questionable. Gafford will start if available, but AD’s absence will open up minutes for PJ Washington, Naji Marshall and Moussa Cisse.
