The Bucks intra-team problems aren’t limited to coach/de facto general manager-owner.
Their players are also publicly bickering.
Greg Monroe and Khris Middleton jawed during Milwaukee’s loss to the Celtics yesterday.
These disputes between players happen, and they don’t always signal a larger problem. But there are a couple negative indicators here:
- O.J. Mayo felt the need to get between Monroe and Middleton. Maybe this was just a discussion that just looked worse than it was, but Mayo didn’t appear to believe so.
- Monroe and Middleton got into it in front cameras. Usually, when players are upset with each other, they have the control to wait until they can privately handle the issue. Monroe and Middleton didn’t.
That said, Monroe and Middleton played together with the Pistons, and Middleton helped recruit Monroe to Milwaukee. I bet they get past this.
