Ugh.
The Hornets had blown a 23-point lead in this game — they led by 10 entering the fourth quarter — and now with 3.5 seconds left they needed a bucket to tie the game and send it to overtime (or get a three for the win). They got the ball out to Gary Neal at the top of the key, isolated with Damian Lillard on him, and Neal blew past Lillard for a clean layup to tie the game and send it to overtime.
Except he didn’t get the shot off in time. The Blazers win.
Ugh.
It blew a game for Charlotte where Al Jefferson had 22 points while Lance Stephenson had 14 points, 14 assists and was frustrated with his touches late. LaMarcus Aldridge had 25 and 14 for the Blazers.
