The Washington Wizards’ home-winning streak of 17 is over. It ended on Monday night in OT to the Cleveland Cavaliers, 140-135, in part because of LeBron James’ crazy, banked 3-pointer at the end of regulation that forced an extra period.
Washington still sits ranked 4th in the Eastern Conference, with a record of 22-7 at the Verizon Center.
On Tuesday, Wizards backcourt duo John Wall and Bradley Beal released a thank you to Washington fans via Wall’s Instagram commemorating their incredible streak:

The Wizards are a team on the rise. If you can believe it, they entered 2017 with a record of 16-16. Since the beginning of January, they’ve gone 14-7.
Both Wall and Beal have played well, and Wall has been a standout. He’s having a career year on offense in terms of efficiency thanks to his passing, free-throw rate, and field goal percentage.
There’s hope yet for Wizards fans yet, and if they continue to be hot Washington could step up and make a deep playoff run.
Then again, they might have to avoid that 4 seed to do that, lest they run into the Cavaliers in the second round. Perhaps another home winning streak is in order?
