Things just went from bad to worse for the Orlando Magic: No. 4 Aaron Gordon suffered a foot fracture and is out indefinitely after suffering the injury Saturday night against the Washington Wizards.
This is really unfortunate news for the Magic and for fans of the 2014 draft class. Gordon is very raw but he’s an exciting, promising talent with off-the-charts athleticism.

With or without Gordon, the Magic weren’t expected to win a lot of games this year. They’re 4-7 to start the season and figure to be one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference. But they have a lot of promising young talent, including Victor Oladipo and rookie point guard Elfrid Payton. Gordon was another piece of that, and it’s too bad he won’t be playing again for a while.
