The Orlando Magic lost 115-100 to the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night, dropping their record to 15-34 on the season. By all indications, Jacque Vaughn’s days as head coach in Orlando may be numbered due to the poor performance.

The Magic haven’t ruled out making an in-season coaching change.

Safe to say Jacque Vaughn is in trouble. Magic management “not happy at all.” Source to Sentinel: “We won’t settle for this.”

Orlando Sentinel: Magic brass have been told by one Western Conference coach that Magic have better talent than 15-34 record shows.

The Magic are not untalented. Nikola Vucevic is one of the best young big men in the NBA. Victor Oladipo and Elfrid Payton are promising guards. They have a veteran sharpshooting big man in Channing Frye. Tobias Harris is having a good season. In the horrible Eastern Conference, they should be better. Vaughn has shown no ability to adapt to his roster’s needs or to put his players in the best position to develop.

Even as bad as the Magic have been, they’re only 5.5 games out of the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. If management feels that a different coach could get more out of their talent, it’s absolutely possible they could part ways with Vaughn.
