Rockets’ Carlos Delfino has foot surgery, out 4 to 6 months

Oklahoma City Thunder v Houston Rockets - Game Three

HOUSTON, TX - APRIL 27: Carlos Delfino #10 of the Houston Rockets walks off the court after losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder 104-101 in Game Three of the Western Conference Quarterfinals of the 2013 NBA Playoffs at the Toyota Center on April 27, 2013 in Houston, Texas. Carlos Delfino was having a nice playoffs for the Rockets, averaging 9 points a game, knocking down 35.5 percent of his three pointers and dunking all over Kevin Durant.

Then he fractured a bone in his foot and was out.

Turns out that fracture required surgery that could keep him out through training camp reports Howard Chen of CSNHouston.com.

He could be back for the start of camp, or he could miss some and be eased back in depending on how everything heals. With the Rockets style of play he brings value off the bench because he can space the floor with his three point shooting (and you need that with James Harden and Jeremy Lin slashing into the paint).
