The Knicks will start Miles McBride, Cameron Payne, Mikal Bridges, P.J. Tucker, and Precious Achiuwa against the Nets on Sunday.
Tucker is set to make his first start of the season for the shorthanded Knicks. The 3-and-D forward will likely be asked to carry a heavy workload in the final regular season, but there’s no telling how productive he’ll be given that he’s averaging 1.5 points through two appearances in 2024-25.
  • NYK Center #23
Mitchell Robinson (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game against the Nets.
Unsurprisingly, Robinson will not play in Sunday’s regular-season finale with nothing on the line for the Knicks. With Karl-Anthony Towns also out, players such as Precious Achiuwa, P.J. Tucker and Kevin McCullar will log rotation minutes in Brooklyn. Achiuwa has the best chance of blowing up for fantasy managers in active leagues.
  • NYK Power Forward #32
Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) and Jalen Brunson (ankle) have been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Nets.
KAT and Brunson will sit out for the Knicks’ final regular-season game. Precious Achiuwa and P.J. Tucker will have to hold down the fort at center while Miles McBride may get a chance to run the offense at point guard.
  • NYK Power Forward #32
Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) and Josh Hart (knee) are questionable for Friday’s game against Cleveland.
Towns is banged up after a sloppy but productive game his last time out and Hart is looking to avoid a second straight absence. Mitchell Robinson could step in for Towns if healthy and P.J. Tucker has a chance to break into the rotation again after logging 27 minutes on Thursday.
  • NYK Power Forward #17
PJ Tucker accounted for three points, six rebounds and one three-pointer in 27 minutes in Thursday’s loss to the Pistons.
With OG Anunoby, Josh Hart and Mitchell Robinson unavailable, Tucker was moved into the Knicks’ rotation on Thursday. And it became clear that the veteran was needed on the court, as his teammates struggled with Detroit’s physicality during the second half. Tucker’s days of being a fantasy asset are in the rearview mirror. However, he may need to play if the Knicks draw the Pistons in the first round, even with Anunoby, Hart and Robinson available.
  • NYK Power Forward #17
    Knicks signed F P.J. Tucker to a two-year contract.
Tucker was given a second 10-day contract by the Knicks almost two weeks ago, but he’s now set to be with the team through the rest of this season and the playoffs. The contract includes a team option for the 2025-26 season. Tucker isn’t fantasy-relevant at this point in his career, but his style of play fits in with the Knicks franchise, which has consistently been predicated on grit and toughness under Tom Thibodeau.
  • NYK Power Forward #17
Knicks signed P.J. Tucker to a second 10-day contract.
Tucker didn’t record any stats in the two minutes he played against the Spurs on Wednesday. He’s unlikely to impact fantasy basketball anytime soon.
  • NYK Power Forward #13
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that P.J. Tucker plans to sign a 10-day deal with the New York Knicks.
The long-awaited announcement is finally here, as fantasy managers now know where Tucker will be playing basketball to close the year. Tucker, who averaged a whopping 2.6 points and 3.3 boards across 20.6 minutes in 106 games for the Clippers and 76ers over the last two seasons, will be a hot commodity on the waiver wire. Try to be responsible with your FAAB when submitting claims for him.
  • FA Power Forward #13
    Raptors waived P.J. Tucker.
Tucker has been passed around since the trade deadline and hasn’t played since last postseason. He isn’t likely to become a relevant fantasy player anytime soon.
  • TOR Power Forward #17
P.J. Tucker will not suit up for the Raptors after being traded to Toronto by Miami.
Tucker is being passed around like a hot potato and reports suggest that he’ll part ways with Toronto in the near future. Tucker’s contract has been more noteworthy than Tucker has been this year. Tucker, 39, hasn’t suited up for a game all season while being included in several trades for cap reasons.
