The Pacers have assigned Rakeem Christmas to the D-League.
Christmas isn’t part of the Pacers rotation, so this move comes as no surprise. The second-year player will now get a chance to play more minutes with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants and can be ignored by fantasy owners.
  • Power Forward #51
Rakeem Christmas (knee) did not practice on Monday.
It’s just a precaution for the second-year big man. The Pacers picked him up for next to nothing from the Cavs last year, but he won’t be in the rotation.

Rakeem Christmas (knee) is available to play for Tuesday’s preseason game against New Orleans.
He’s not going to factor into the Pacers rotation this season while Thaddeus Young, Lavoy Allen and Paul George are healthy.
  • Power Forward #51
The Pacers have recalled Rakeem Christmas from the D-League.
The Pacers could be preparing for the worst with Kevin Seaphin (knee) and Myles Turner (ankle) banged up. Unless Turner misses Monday’s game, Christmas likely won’t play.

The Pacers have recalled Rakeem Christmas from the D-League.
Even with Kevin Seraphin (knee) out, Christmas hasn’t been in the rotation.
  • Power Forward #51
Rakeem Christmas has been recalled from his D-League stint.
With Thaddeus Young (wrist) already having been ruled out, and Lavoy Allen (knee) questionable, Christmas could see some extended minutes tonight. He won’t be on the floor enough to matter in most leagues, though.
  • IND Center #25
Al Jefferson (dental work) and Rakeem Christmas (heel) are questionable to play Wednesday vs. the Spurs.
Jefferson has missed the past three games after having an emergency root canal last week, and Christmas was the guy that was picking up most of his minutes, so if both those guys are out tonight, expect to see Thaddeus Young flirt with minutes in the 30s and Lavoy Allen to also see a boost in minutes.
  • Power Forward #51
Rakeem Christmas (sore left heel) is questionable to play Wednesday vs. the Spurs.
If Christmas can’t give it a go tonight, Lavoy Allen will likely pick up most of the backup five-man minutes, and there’s a chance Thaddeus Young could see his playing time in the 30s. Christmas belongs on the waiver wire in all leagues.

Rakeem Christmas (sore left heel) is available to play Wednesday.
Christmas’ availability doesn’t mean much for fantasy purposes, however, especially with Thaddeus Young and Lavoy Allen healthy.
  • Power Forward #51
Rakeem Christmas (sore right groin) is listed as questionable for Saturday night’s game vs. the Pistons.
No fantasy impact here, as Christmas is not part of the Pacers rotation.
