Updating a previous item, Robbie Hummel has officially signed with the Spanish club Obradoiro.
Hummel was the 58th pick of the Timberwolves in this year’s draft and his rights will remain property of Minnesota if he can make his way back to the NBA.

The Wolves selected Purdue small forward Robbie Hummel with the No. 58 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.
Hummel has suffered two torn ACLs and has remade his game to provide bulk and spot-up shooting. His athletic and defensive limitations are glaring, but he appears willing to accept his limitations and compete for a job as a role player.

Robbie Hummel is reportedly close to signing a contract with the Spanish club Obradoiro.
Hummel lost a lot of his luster as an NBA prospect after suffering two torn ACLs. The Wolves invested the 58th pick on the Purdue senior and have not signed him. It appears his professional career won’t be starting stateside.

Robbie Hummel underwent successful knee surgery on Tuesday.
Hummel is expected to be sidelined for four-to-six weeks as he recovers and is currently playing overseas. He was a second-round pick by the Timberwolves in the 2012 draft.

Timberwolves second-round pick Robbie Hummel injured his knee while playing for Obradoiro.
Hummel is spending the season with the Spanish team, and after so many knee problems in college, it’s unfortunate that he’s now dealing with a meniscus injury. Despite being drafted, Hummel still faces an uphill battle to make an imprint in the NBA.

Robbie Hummel is ready to go “full bore” for the Timberwolves next season and hopes to make the roster.
Hummel, a second round pick in 2012, played professionally in Spain last year and now has his eyes set on the NBA. He’s expected to be a part of the Timberwolves summer league team, but as a David Kahn draftee, his future with the team is uncertain. “They wanted to see if I could stay healthy, and I proved that I could,” he said. “My knee feels great, 100 percent normal.”

The Wolves signed 2012 second-round pick forward Robbie Hummel on Thursday.
No word on the deal or if he’ll make the final roster, but he will definitely be in training camp with the Wolves, and not playing in Europe any time soon.

If Robbie Hummel doesn’t make the Timberwolves, Pallacanestro Cantù may try to sign him.
He didn’t help himself on Thursday, shooting 2-of-7 from the field for six points with five boards, two assists and three turnovers in 26 minutes. Hummel has been fairly quiet for most of the summer league and it’s looking unlikely he’ll be able to make the team.

Robbie Hummel scored a career-high 10 points against the Sixers on Wednesday with three boards, one steal and two 3-pointers in 12 minutes.
It was great to see from a Hummel after the tough road he’s had in his career. He tore his ACL twice at Purdue and had to play overseas before this year. Hummel doesn’t have much fantasy value and the eventual return of Chase Budinger (knee) would probably bump him from the rotation.

Kevin Martin suffered a non-displaced fracture to his left thumb and will be out indefinitely.
Technically, it is a fracture to his distal phalanx in his left thumb and it will not require surgery. Martin has dealt with all sorts of injuries in his career and this one looks to keep him out for at least a month. The Wolves will certainly miss his 19.0 points and 32.3 minutes per game and will give Alexey Shved some more playing time, possibly still in the second unit. Corey Brewer will likely be the biggest beneficiary of this injury, while Chase Budinger and J.J. Barea could also get some more burn. Robbie Hummel will likely be an end-of-the-bench guy despite having a couple starts under his belt. To be clear, there really isn’t a great pickup in standard leagues, but Brewer and Barea might be the best guy to add with so many potential problems among the others.
