The rookie is questionable for tonight

Swift is expected back at practice today. The 12th overall pick in this year’s draft probably won’t play much as a rookie.

Swift missed one game with an upper respiratory infection.

He’s day-to-day.

Swift, the 12th overall pick in this year’s draft, had three points and one rebound in eight games.

Swift has totaled three points in eight games this season. He’ll only play in blowouts.

Swift recently had a workout with Golden State’s D-League team in Santa Cruz, but he didn’t make the cut. He’s been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons over the past few years, but hopefully he can start moving in a more positive direction.

Swift has been out of the league for years, but was invited to the workout by Santa Cruz Casey Hill. “Amazing to be out there, be able to be given the chance to come out, and then play with guys at even this caliber,” Swift said. While this could be a great redemption story, Swift won’t have any fantasy value if he hooks on in the D-League.

He won’t get much playing time for the Sonics.

With Danny Fortson out for five to seven days, Swift will be needed in Seattle’s frontcourt. Johan Petro, who was not fully recovered from a gastrointestinal disorder, might also miss continue to miss some time.
