2005 second-round draft selection, Roko Ukic, reportedly wants to play for the Raptors next season.
His agent met Raptors president/general manager Bryan Colangelo Wednesday at NBA pre-draft camp for a preliminary discussion. “Obviously, there will be negotiations involving three parties (meaning a buyout needs to be made) and I don’t want to get too far ahead of ourselves,” his agent said. “But Roko would like to be in Toronto and I think Toronto would like to have him as well.”

Point guard Roko Ukic has apparently decided not to play for the Toronto Raptors this year.
The second-round pick initially said he’d show up on Oct. 1 for training camp, but has apparently signed a four-year deal with Tau Ceramica of Spain, turning his back on a three-year deal from the Raptors. Ukic is a solid prospect who had first-round draft potential, so this just makes Toronto’s draft look that much worse, after taking Charlie Villanueva with the seventh pick. Toronto retains his rights, so it may work out in the long run. However, the only sound point guard on the Raptors roster right now is Rafer Alston, who had a very rocky year under Sam Mitchell last season.

Jose Calderon played through a dislocated ring finger on his right hand but hit just 3-of-7 shots for seven points and nine assists in 26 minutes of Friday’s win over the Thunder.
Roko Ukic had 10 points and 14 assists in 22 minutes off the bench, and while Calderon keeps bouncing back from injuries, he is a candidate to be shut down early for a Raptors team with no shot at the post season.

The Bucks imminent acquisition of point guard Roko Ukic indicates that they’re prepared to lose Ramon Sessions via restricted free agency.
The Bucks already have Brandon Jennings and Luke Ridnour at PG, with Ukic likely serving as a third-string PG. Don’t expect Ukic, who averaged 4.2 points and 2.1 assists as a rookie last season, to have any fantasy value this year.
  • Shooting Guard #10
The four-player trade between the Bucks and Raptors is now official, sending Amir Johnson and Sonny Weems to Toronto, and Carlos Delfino and Roko Ukic to Milwaukee.
This understated deal gives the Raptors a young backup big man (Johnson) and financial flexibility, while the Bucks get solid backups at SG/SF (Delfino) and PG (Ukic). Of the four players involved, only Delfino is likely to play enough to have fantasy value.
  • MIL Small Forward #10
The Toronto Star reports that the Raptors are finalizing a deal that will send Carlos Delfino and Roko Ukic to the Bucks for Amir Johnson and Sonny Weems.
Milwaukee’s acquisition of Hakim Warrick may have made Johnson expendable, and with Richard Jefferson gone and Michael Redd recovering from major surgery they could use some depth on the wings. If the deal goes through, Delfino (who is currently playing in Russia) would need to sign at least a two-year contract.

Representing his home Croatia Roko Ukic won MVP honors in the Efes Pilsen World Cup.
Ukic saw spot minutes with the Raptors last season and will be hard pressed to find time in the Bucks rotation even if Ramon Sessions signs elsewhere.

The Toronto Raptors signed Croatian guard Roko Ukic to a three-year contract on Wednesday.
Ukic, 22, spent last season with Italian club Lottomatica Virtus Roma, averaging 11.5 points and 2.8 assists. He shot 55 percent from the floor and 82 percent from the free-throw line. He should help back up point guard Jose Calderon this season, but isn’t likely to offer much fantasy value.
  • DET Point Guard #81
The Raptors and GM Bryan Colangelo are close to having their roster set for the upcoming season after reaching tentative agreements with three players.
Colangelo got point guard Jose Calderon locked up to a long-term contract and signed guards Roko Ukic and Hassan Adams to deals, all of which can be officially completed on July 9. The terms of Calderon’s deal have yet to be disclosed, but it’s believed he’ll make about $8 million per season to stay with the team. And with T.J. Ford now out of the picture, Calderon should be an excellent fantasy point guard next season.

Roko Ukic had 17 points, four assists and two 3-pointers in Wednesday’s win over his former team, the Raptors.
We have no idea where this came from, although it appears that Scott Skiles gave him some extra run against the Raps. Brandon Jennings left late after suffering a knee injury, but it would probably take a lot more than Jennings going down for Ukic to have fantasy value. This was just the second time he’s played in the last seven games, so just keep an eye on him.
