Shane Battier will miss about a week of action after suffering a hamstring injury on Tuesday.
“I was pretty disappointed last night,” Battier said. “I got home and told my wife I’ll see her tomorrow and locked myself in my room.” He went on to say it wasn’t too severe of a pull, but it’s obviously not a minor injury, either. “It’s not worth rushing back to where I’ll have to deal with it the rest of the season.” The Rockets signed forward Romel Beck to fill in for Battier the rest of training camp.
