Second-round pick forward Romero Osby has been invited to Magic training camp, along with veteran Solomon Jones and free agents Michael Eric, Manny Harris and Kris Joseph.

None are a lock to make the team, although we’re guessing that Jones, a seven-year veteran, will land with a team at some point this season.

Magic draft pick Romero Osby will miss the remainder of the season with a torn labrum.

Osby was selected in the second round but never actually played for Orlando, instead spending the season with the Red Claws in the D-League. He averaged 16.2 points and 6.4 rebounds at that level and should be fully healed when he tries out for NBA teams during training camp.

Romero Osby has signed with Nanterre of France.

Terms of Osby’s deal are not clear, but the 25-year-old won’t appear in the NBA this season. The Magic’s 2014 second-round pick could still end up back in the NBA, but he can be ignored for 2015-16 fantasy purposes.

The Magic drafted Oklahoma PF Romero Osby with the No. 51 pick of the 2013 draft.

Osby is a solid rebounder and all-around athlete who averaged 16 points and seven rebounds per game after transferring to Oklahoma for his senior year. He’s undersized at 6'7" and we don’t expect him to make an impact in fantasy leagues as a rookie.
