Ohlbrecht

Ohlbrecht was called up from the D-League this week and he’s not going to see regular playing time while Omer Asik (10 points, 10 rebounds, five steals) is healthy.

Even if Ohlbrecht somehow cracks the rotation, he’s not going to have any fantasy relevance. He averaged 13.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.6 blocks in 31 games with the Rio Grande Vipers this season.

It would be shocking if he saw any meaningful minutes in a must-win Game 4 on Monday.

This has zero fantasy relevance in every format.

He was cut loose to clear a spot for Daniel Orton on the Sixers’ 20-man roster. Ohlbrecht has many years experience playing overseas, but he appeared in only three games for the Rockets last year and may have a hard time earning a guaranteed contract during the regular season.

He was up and down with the Rockets and their D-League affiliate. Ohlbrecht played a microscopic 12 minutes over the entire course of last season, so the Rockets won’t be missing him much.

He and teammate James Anderson were both dumped by the Rockets on Saturday. Ohlbrecht only really saw garbage time at forward for the Rockets, but landing on a shallow team like the Sixers is a great place to land. His deal with the Sixers is not guaranteed for the 2013-14 season.
