Olivier-Maxence Prosper (ankle) is out for Friday’s game against the Jazz.
Prosper will miss a second consecutive game due to a sore right ankle. With Taylor Hendricks and GG Jackson also out, Toby Okani will have to play heavy minutes once again. He played 33 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to the Nuggets, and that was with Hendricks available. Taj Gibson is available, but he played just five minutes on Wednesday.
  • MEM Forward #22
Taylor Hendricks (thumb) and GG Jackson (knee) are out for Friday’s game against the Jazz.
While Hendricks scored 16 points in Wednesday’s loss to the Nuggets, Jackson was not available. With both out and Olivier-Maxence Prosper listed as doubtful for Friday’s game, Toby Okani is likely to play heavy minutes out of necessity.
  • MEM Forward #22
Walter Clayton Jr., Cedric Coward, Jahmai Mashack, Toby Okani and Taylor Hendricks will start Wednesday’s game against the Nuggets.
Hendricks, who did not play in Monday’s loss to the Cavaliers, is available and will replace Olivier-Maxence Prosper in the starting lineup. The other changes to the lineup are Mashack and Okani, who step in for Cam Spencer and Lucas Williamson. Spencer is not available, but Williamson should play significant minutes off the bench.
  • Olivier-Maxence Prosper (ankle) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Nuggets.
Initially doubtful, Prosper is out for Wednesday’s game. Taylor Hendricks and Toby Okani are likely to play heavy minutes, as the Grizzlies are light on options in the frontcourt.
  • Olivier-Maxence Prosper (ankle) is doubtful for Wednesday’s game against the Nuggets.
Prosper, who scored 24 points in Monday’s loss to the Cavaliers, is on track to miss Wednesday’s game. With GG Jackson already out, the Grizzlies will lean heavily on Taylor Hendricks and Toby Okani in the frontcourt, and there may also be rotation minutes available to Taj Gibson.
  • MEM Guard #55
Lucas Williamson, Cedric Coward, Cam Spencer, GG Jackson and Olivier-Maxence Prosper will start against the Cavaliers on Monday.
Williamson, who is on a 10-day contract, will get the first start of his career. Coward, Jackson and Spencer will be back in the starting unit after missing Sunday’s game. Walter Clayton Jr. and Toby Okani will be pushed back to the bench, while Taylor Hendricks and Rayan Rupert, who started on Sunday, will be sidelined for this game.
  • MEM Guard #23
Cedric Coward (back) is not on the injury report for Monday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Coward did not play in Sunday’s loss to the Bucks, resulting in Toby Okani making his first career start. Okani played 41 minutes in Milwaukee; he’s highly unlikely to hit that number with Coward back in the lineup.
  • MEM Guard-Forward #00
Dariq Whitehead tallied 16 points (6-of-19 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), three rebounds, two assists, one steal and three three-pointers in Sunday’s loss to the Bucks.
Due to injuries, Whitehead was one of four Grizzlies to play at least 36 minutes on Sunday. He didn’t shoot the ball particularly well, but give the former first-round pick credit for not getting cheated on his attempts. Toby Okani (nine points, four rebounds, one steal and one three-pointer) played 41 minutes and Lucas Williamson (5/3/4/1 with one three-pointer) played 36 on Sunday; in addition to Whitehead, those two should play plenty in Week 24.
  • MEM Guard #4
Walter Clayton Jr., Tobi Okani, Rayan Rupert, Taylor Hendricks and Olivier-Maxence Prosper will start Sunday’s game against the Bucks.
Clayton is back after missing Friday’s loss to the Raptors, and he will start. Also in the lineup is Okani, making his first start as an NBA player, and Prosper, who steps in for GG Jackson.
