The Pelicans have hired Trajan Langdon as their new General Manager, reports The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Langdon was previously the assistant GM for the Nets and had interviewed for a few different roles across the league before accepting this position in New Orleans. He has widely been seen as a rising star in the industry and will now work alongside Executive VP of Basketball Operations David Griffin to start a new era of basketball in the Big Easy. Langdon got his front office start under Griffin in Cleveland.

Clippers signed guard Trajan Langdon and forward Kaniel Dickens.
If Langdon can make the Clippers, he’ll be reunited with Duke teammates Elton Brand and Corey Maggette. That’s a really big if, though. He’s played in Italy and Turkey the last two seasons.

Trajan Langdon scored 17 points to lead CSKA Moscow to a 94-75 victory over the Clippers in an exhibition game Saturday.
With the score 52-39 at halftime, Langdon hit two straight 3-pointers in quick succession to put his team 16 points ahead and set the ton in the second half. The former Duke star could get a chance with an NBA team sometime this year.
