Tyler Burton added 17 points (7-of-13 FGs), four rebounds, one assist, one steal and three three-pointers in Monday’s loss to the Suns.
Burton has been one of Memphis’ most consistent offensive performers over the last seven games. In that time, he’s scored at least 17 points four times and been reliable from beyond the arc. He’s been playing on a 10-day contract and, whether or not he earns another prior to the season’s end, he seems to be taking advantage of the opportunities that have come his way.
  • MEM Forward #5
Tyler Burton finished Saturday’s win over the Bulls with 18 points (7-of-15 FGs, 1-of-3 FTs), five rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and three three-pointers.
Burton’s first 10-day contact is winding down, so the timing couldn’t be better for him to deliver an excellent performance. The forward logged 27 minutes on Saturday and filled the stat line. Burton is not worth the risk in fantasy leagues, but there may be an opportunity to stream him for a night in Week 23 with the Grizzlies playing four games.
  • MEM Guard #21
Jahmai Mashack (ankle) is out for Monday’s game against the Hawks.
Mashack will miss a fourth consecutive game with a sprained left ankle. His continued absence means rotation minutes for DeJon Jarreau and Tyler Burton, with the latter reaching the end of his first 10-day contract.
  • MEM Forward #5
Tyler Burton finished Friday’s loss to the Celtics with 23 points (7-of-13 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), five rebounds, two assists and five three-pointers.
Signed to a 10-day contract on March 12, Burton totaled 20 points in his first four appearances as a Grizzly. The undrafted forward put on a show on Friday, scoring 23 points on excellent percentages. With his first 10-day deal expiring on Sunday, Burton picked a great time to have a career night. His final opportunity to impress the Grizzlies’ decision makers will be on Saturday in Charlotte, but he may have already done enough to earn a second 10-day deal.
  • MEM Guard #21
Jahmai Mashack (ankle) has been ruled out against the Celtics on Friday.
Mashack will miss a second straight game, which will open up a few extra minutes for DeJon Jarreau and Tyler Burton. However, the Grizzlies’ rotation has been too inconsistent as of late for either player to be worth streaming.
  • MEM Guard #21
Jahmai Mashack (ankle) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Nuggets.
Mashack’s ankle injury will keep him out of Wednesday’s contest, which frees up additional minutes for DeJon Jarreau and Tyler Burton. Neither player is worth the streaming risk in fantasy leagues.
  • MEM Guard #21
Jahmai Mashack (ankle) is questionable to play against the Nuggets on Wednesday.
Mashack has bene playing a large reserve role recently, and if he isn’t able to play, DeJon Jarreau and Tyler Burton will take on extra minutes off the bench, though neither will be worth streaming.
