Yang Hansen finished Monday’s win over the Timberwolves with 18 points (7-of-8 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), 10 rebounds and five assists.

Back in action after sitting out Sunday’s game against the Magic with an illness, Hansen had his best game of this year’s summer league. The second-year center missed just one shot from the field and did a good job of facilitating offense in the 111-84 victory. Hansen did not record any defensive stats, but the increased comfort on the offensive end was encouraging. The question now is whether the Trail Blazers feel that Hansen has shown them enough to merit being shut down for the rest of the summer. If anything, he’ll be best served by getting live reps against legitimate NBA bigs, which is unlikely to happen often in Portland’s remaining summer league games.

Yang Hansen (illness) is out for Sunday’s game against the Magic.

The 16th overall pick in the 2025 draft, Hansen recorded 12 points, nine rebounds and four assists in Friday’s loss to the Suns. With Donovan Clingan locked into the starting center role and Robert Williams III re-signed, Hansen will once again face long odds to earn consistent rotation minutes when the regular season begins. As for Sunday, his absence means more minutes will be available to Aliou Diarra, who was not selected in last month’s draft.

Yang Hansen amassed 12 points (5-of-10 FGs), nine rebounds and four assists in Friday’s loss to the Suns.

After failing to earn consistent rotation minutes as a rookie, Hansen will look to change that in 2026-27. He’ll be playing for a new head coach, but the Trail Blazers’ re-signing of Robert Williams III means that Hansen will once again face long odds. He finished Friday’s two-point defeat one rebound shy of a double-double, but there were no defensive contributions to speak of. With Donovan Clingan starting and the Time Lord backing him up, Hansen is likely to remain a player who should only be rostered in dynasty leagues.

Robert Williams III (back) is available for Sunday’s game against the Wizards.

Williams is good to go after tweaking something in his lower back during Friday’s loss to the Mavericks. He’ll take on his usual backup center role, which means Yang Hansen may only see action if the game gets out of hand.

Robert Williams III (back) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Wizards.

Williams appeared to tweak something in his lower back during the second quarter of Friday’s loss to the Mavericks, and he did not play after halftime. If he can’t play on Sunday, the Trail Blazers may call on Yang Hansen to fill out the rotation since Jerami Grant (calf) has already been ruled out.

Robert Williams III (knee) is out for Monday’s game against the Nets.

Monday’s game is the second in as many days for the Trail Blazers, so Williams’ absence is unsurprising. Starter Donovan Clingan may pick up a few more minutes, with Portland going small when he isn’t in the game. Yang Hansen’s best chance at playing time would be if the Trail Blazers led by a large margin.

Robert Williams III (knee) is out for Friday’s game against the Jazz.

Williams’ absence frees up minutes on the back end of the Trail Blazers’ rotation for Yang Hansen, who will slot in as the backup center. That isn’t enough to make the rookie worth the risk in redraft leagues, but he should be rostered in dynasty leagues.

Robert Williams (knee) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Jazz.

Williams is on the report for injury management reasons, which could mean a return to the rotation for Yang Hansen. The rookie has been recalled from the Trail Blazers’ G League affiliate and is officially active. Hansen should only be rostered in dynasty leagues, and there would be no need to place him into active lineups if the Time Lord sits.

Robert Williams III (knee) is not on the injury report for Wednesday’s game against the Grizzlies.

Williams did not play in Portland’s loss to the Hawks on Sunday, as it was the Trail Blazers’ second game in as many days. He’ll slot in as Donovan Clingan’s backup, while Yang Hansen has been sent to the team’s G League affiliate to get some game time.

Yang Hansen (back) is available for Sunday’s game against the Hawks.

Hansen is available for Sunday’s game and may pick up a few minutes since the Trail Blazers won’t have Robert Williams III. This also means more playing time for starter Donovan Clingan, so fantasy managers should not expect too much from Hansen.
