Four-star 2018 JUCO CB junior Benjie Franklin committed to Texas A&M-Commerce.
Franklin, the No. 30 junior college player overall in the 247Sports composite, spurned several high-profile FBS programs to sign with the D-II Lions. He had offers from Auburn, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Kansas, West Virginia and FAU, among others. Texas A&M-Commerce is a D-II power. "[Franklin] is a fluid athlete that is capable of executing tight zone and man technique,” ESPN noted. “Shows excellent ball-skills when transitioning to finish on the short, intermediate and deep passing game.”
