Colts signed LB Austin Ajiake to a one-year contract extension.
An exclusive rights free agent, Ajiake had 32 tackles and played 70 percent of the Colts special teams snaps this year. He also saw some sparse time at linebacker, with 157 defensive snaps over 16 games. The Colts also agreed to terms with RB Ulysses Bentley IV, CB Wyett Ekeler, DE Viliami Fehoko Jr., G LaDarius Henderson, QB Seth Henigan, T Bayron Matos, C Jimmy Morrissey, TE Sean McKeon, S Trey Washington, WR Coleman Owen, DT Tim Smith, G Bill Murray, DE Durell Nchami, S Ben Nikkel, WR Eli Pancol and G Josh Sills on reserve/future contracts.

Bears placed G Bill Murray (pectoral) on injured reserve.
Pectoral injuries are usually season-enders for offensive linemen, but we’ll be kind and say “he’ll miss at least four weeks” as all players placed on injured reserve must. Murray had an 82.4 PFF grade in a small sample size, and the 27-year-old will be missed. The Bears will hope Teven Jenkins is able to go this week.

    Patriots released DT Bill Murray.
A practice-squad tackle in New England last year, Murray has yet to play a regular season snap since signing with the Patriots as undrafted free agent in May 2020. His career upside includes potential as a sub-package pass rusher off the bench if it all clicks at his next destination.

Patriots placed practice squad DT Bill Murray on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Rotoworld isn’t usually in the business of writing up practice squad injuries, but New England’s second COVID-19 placement in the past four days is certainly noteworthy. A taxi squad tackle, Murray presumably has not had close contact with Cam Newton, but anything is possible. It’s yet another situation to monitor in these delicate football times.
