  • PHI Cornerback #33
Eagles declared CB Bradley Roby, QB Tanner McKee, RB Rashaad Penny, LB Patrick Johnson, DT Moro Ojomo, and TE Albert Okwuegbunam inactive for Week 8 against the Commanders.
Nothing too surprising here. The Eagles head into Washington with a roster at near full strength. At 6-1, the Eagles will look to notch their seventh win of the season against a Commanders team they beat 34-31 in Week 4.
  • PHI Safety #32
Eagles S Reed Blankenship (ribs) will not play in Week 7 against the Dolphins.
Cornerback Bradley Roby is also set to miss Week 7. The Eagles’ defense has fallen from grace this year and a nightmare run of injuries in their secondary has been one of the biggest culprits. Expect Mike McDaniel and the Dolphins to pick on Philly’s backups in the secondary this week.
  • PHI Cornerback #33
NFL Insider Jordan Schultz reports Eagles CB Bradley Roby is considered week-to-week with a shoulder injury.
Roby hurt his shoulder in Week 6 against the Jets and could miss a game or two. The 31-year-old joined the Eagles in early October to reinforce a banged-up secondary, but now goes down with his own injury. CB Josiah Scott was signed by the Eagles to fill in while Roby recovers.
  • PHI Cornerback #21
NFL Network’s James Palmer reports the Eagles are signing CB Bradley Roby.
The Eagles add to their secondary with Roby. The veteran 31-year-old last played for the Saints before being cut in August. Roby now finds himself with a solid Eagles defense that can use his help.
  • FA Cornerback #21
Free agent CB Bradley Roby is expected to meet with the 49ers.
Roby was released by the Saints at the end of training camp, but little news on him has surfaced since then. At 31 years old, Roby has plenty of experience as a starter and is versatile enough to play both outside and in the slot. We’ll see if the two sides are able to come to a deal, but the 49ers did see two corners leave with injuries in Week 2’s win. Although, both also returned later in the game.
  • FA Cornerback #21
    Saints released DB Bradley Roby.
The Saints were reportedly fielding calls about Roby’s availability ahead of cut-down day but opted to release the long-time vet. Roby has spent the last two seasons with the Saints but struggled in pass coverage last season, earning a PFF grade of 49.6. He should have a decent market but shouldn’t be treated as a full-time starter at this point in his career.
  • Cornerback #33
Saints placed CB Bradley Roby (ankle) on injured reserve.
He was carted off last Thursday night and will now officially miss at least four games. New Orleans’ CB depth has been majorly tested this year with Marshon Lattimore missing the last two games with an abdomen injury. They had to start rookie Alontae Taylor in Week 7 right off activating him from injured reserve. If Lattimore remains out in Week 8 this could be a secondary to target in fantasy leagues.

  • Cornerback #33
Saints CB Bradley Roby was forced from New Orleans’ Week 7 game against the Cardinals with an ankle injury and is questionable to return.
Roby stepped on Rondale Moore’s foot in the first quarter and was eventually carted to the locker room without his shoe on. It certainly looks like his evening is through. That is awful news for a Saints defense already missing its top-two corners in Marshon Lattimore and Paulson Adebo. It places a ton of pressure on second-round rookie Alontae Taylor, who just came off injured reserve on Thursday.

  • NO Tight End #7
Saints restructured the contracts of QB Taysom Hill, CB Bradley Rody, LB DeMario Davis, and S Malcolm Jenkins.
The Saints now have $29.9 million in available cap space. Having emerged as a leading contender to land Deshaun Watson, the Saints are doing what they have to do to actually be able to fit the quarterback on their books. They still have work to do, as Watson carries a $40 million cap hit in 2022, but they’re getting close. We’ll likely hear of more contract restructures soon, provided Watson isn’t traded to another team first.

  • Cornerback #33
Saints signed CB Bradley Roby to a contract extension.
Acquired via a trade with the Texans just before the start of the 2021 season, Roby was set to count for $10.2 million against the Saints’ cap this year. Roby was a solid player last year but the Saints couldn’t afford to keep him at that cost. He could have been cut with almost no dead cap left behind, but the two sides agreed to terms that will reduce his cap hit this year while keeping him under contract for longer. Roby logged five pass defenses and one interception in 2021.
