Dolphins waived QB Brock Berlin, WR Josh Davis, RB Kay-Jay Harris, LB Corey Jenkins, CB Billy Parker, DE Chris Solomona, TE/LS Ed Peery, and T Orrin Thompson.
Berlin, former Miami star, could make the practice squad.
  • DET Quarterback
Brock Berlin flubbed at least three snaps in his first full day at Dolphins training camp.
The former Miami star has an outside chance at a practice squad slot, nothing more.
  • DET Quarterback
    Rams released QB Brock Berlin.
It was thought the trade of Ryan Fitzpatrick would have opened up a roster spot for Berlin, but the Rams seem content to go with two quarterbacks.
  • FA Quarterback #14
The Rams traded QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to the Bengals for a 2008 seventh-round draft pick.
It’s not certain if Fitzpatrick will replace backup Doug Johnson, who had a tough game on Thursday, or rookie third-stringer Jeff Rowe on the roster. Unless the Rams make another move, Brock Berlin becomes their No. 3 quarterback.
  • MIN Quarterback
Gus Frerotte (shoulder) was able to make some practice throws again on Wednesday, but worked behind Brock Berlin.
Berlin ran the Rams’ scout team and will probably back up Marc Bulger if Bulger starts against Green Bay. Frerotte has a partially torn labrum.
  • JAC Quarterback
    Rams released QB Todd Bouman.
Gus Frerotte and Marc Bulger are both healthy, so Bouman was no longer needed. Brock Berlin will go back to being St. Louis’ emergency quarterback.
  • BAL Quarterback
Marc Bulger passed a neuropsych exam on Tuesday, clearing the way for him to return to practice.
Unless he suffers a setback during the week, Bulger should be ready to start against the Bengals on Sunday. With Gus Frerotte banged up, the alternative would be Brock Berlin, so it’s huge news for the rest of the Rams skills players. Thin fantasy teams with some risk tolerance can start Bulger against the Bengals.
  • DET Quarterback
Rams declare QB Brock Berlin, WR Marques Hagans, WR Brandon Williams, DB Hanik Milligan, C Nick Leckey, T Rob Petitti, T Mark LeVoir, DT Claude Wroten inactive for Week 15.
Marc Bulger is active and will start. Gus Frerotte is also active as the Rams backup, leaving Berlin to serve as the emergency quarterback.
  • DET Quarterback
Rams signed QB Brock Berlin from their practice squad.
The smallish, weak-armed former Florida Gator and Miami Hurricane knows Scott Linehan’s system, but that’s about it. Berlin’s addition signals the Rams could be preparing to be without Marc Bulger (head) in Week 13.
  • BAL Quarterback
Rams coach Scott Linehan ruled Marc Bulger (concussion) out for Week 14. Brock Berlin will start against the Bengals.
This could be a good week to pick up and play the Bengals’ fantasy defense. Linehan indicated that Bulger’s absence is “indefinite,” so it’s possible he won’t play again this season. Berlin has been on the practice squad all year and hardly even worked with the Rams’ wide receivers in practice this week.
