Texans re-sign long snapper Bryan Pittman.
Pittman has been the Texans’ first string long snapper for the majority of the last two seasons.
  • Seahawks signed LS Bryan Pittman, formerly of the Texans.
Pittman, 32, was one of the players suspended four games last year for taking StarCaps. Unlike the others, Pittman didn’t fight the ban and is eligible to resume playing in Week 1. He’d previously started 92 straight games.
  • Seahawks released LS Bryan Pittman.
Pittman suffered a non-football related hand injury earlier in the offseason. He was expendable after the team signed free agent snapper Kevin Houser on Thursday.
  • Texans signed LS Bryan Pittman, formerly of the Falcons.
Pittman, 32, is strictly a deep snapper and doesn’t play a position. He’ll presumably replace Joel Dreessen, who’s now the team’s starting tight end.
  • Falcons released LS Bryan Pittman.
He’s gone along with kicker Jason Elam. Joe Zelenka is the Falcons’ new long snapper.
  • Falcons signed LS Bryan Pittman.
Pittman will take over for Mike Schneck, who was placed on injured reserve Thursday.
  • NO Running Back
The number of players who recently tested positive for steroids and have penind cases is eight, according to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.
He said it was more than ten players yesterday. Four of the eight have tested positive for the diuretic Bumetanide, which helps lose weight. Texans long snapper Bryan Pittman is one of those who tested postive for that supplement. The cases are apparently under appeal or will be appealed.
  • Texans long snapper Bryan Pittman tested positive for a banned substance that is in violation of the NFL’s steroid policy.
It sounds like Pittman was one of the “ten or fifteen” players caught up in the web of positive test results due to water pills. Pittman, who has struggled at times this year, will appeal the case.
  • NO Running Back
NFL suspended Deuce McAllister, Saints DE Charles Grant, Saints DE Will Smith, Vikings DT Kevin Williams, Vikings DT Pat Williams, and Texans LS Brian Pittman for the final four games of the regular season for violating the league’s steroid and related substances policy.
Good thing Deuce already set the franchise record for scores because his NFL career may sadly be over. Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush will continue to carry the load for New Orleans. The news primarily effects opposing rushers of Minnesota: Kevin Smith, Tim Hightower, and Michael Turner the next three weeks. Hugely upgrade their matchups. One or more of the players may seek legal action to delay the suspensions; we should find out the result of that appeal soon.
  • Texans long snapper Bryan Pittman has been suspended the final four games of the regular season for violating the NFL Policy on Anabolic Steroids and Related Substances.
Be sure to replace him in leagues that use long snaps as a fantasy category.
