The Bears opened March minicamps with Cody Balogh as their first-team right tackle and Chris Williams on the left side.
The two offer zero career starts. Balogh, who spent 2008 on the practice squad, is a former undrafted free agent from Montana. Offensive tackle will be a huge need area for Chicago if John St. Clair signs with Cleveland.
  • It only took two days of minicamp practice for the Bears to move Frank Omiyale from left guard to first-string right tackle.
Cody Balogh was bumped down the depth chart and Josh Beekman stepped in at LG. There’s a long way to go, but Omiyale would seem Chicago’s best option at tackle right now. Balogh has never been on a regular season roster.
