    Panthers released CB Curtis DeLoatch.
The special teamer’s exit made room for veteran TE Christian Fauria.
  • CAR Tight End
    Panthers signed TE Christian Fauria.
Fauria didn’t participate in any team’s training camp this fall, and his return to football is a little surprising. He will provide depth and mentor first-year starter Jeff King. CB Curtis Deloatch was released.
  • CAR Defensive Back
Panthers re-signed CB Curtis DeLoatch and placed CB Dante Wesley on injured reserve with a cracked collarbone, ending his season.
DeLoatch has now been signed three times by Carolina since early in the offseason. He’ll take Wesley’s spot as the fourth CB and on special teams.
  • CAR Defensive Back
Panthers placed DB Curtis DeLoatch on injured reserve with a torn ACL, ending his season.
Carolina will sign a CB to take his place. DeLoatch was a special teamer.
  • CAR Quarterback
Panthers released QB Lester Ricard, CB Curtis DeLoatch, TE Chris Conklin, and DE Casper Brinkley.
Brett Basanez is locked in as Carolina’s No. 3 quarterback. The team will keep DeLoatch’s number on speed dial. The other two were rookie free agents.
  • CAR Defensive Back
    Panthers re-signed CB Curtis DeLoatch.
DeLoatch tore his ACL six games into the 2007 season, and spent the rest of the year on injured reserve. He’ll compete to be a backup cornerback.
  • CAR Defensive Back
Former Panthers CB Curtis DeLoatch was arrested for assault Friday.
DeLoatch was last on a roster during 2008 training camp, but he didn’t make the team. This probably ends the special teamer’s career.
