Packers selected Penn State EDGE Dani Dennis-Sutton with the No. 120 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Dennis-Sutton profiles as a high-floor edge with elite underlying athleticism, logging 15 havoc plays, 11.5 TFL and 9 run stops with an 86.4 percent tackle rate, flashing a sturdy anchor and physical edge-setting ability. He generated 53 pressures (17.3 percent pressure rate) with 8.5 sacks and 8 sacks created, consistently stressing tackles with a power-based rush plan and heavy hands. Dennis-Sutton’s 2.68 time-to-first-pressure and 44 first pressures underscore his ability to win early in reps, while his 3 penalties drawn highlight active, aggressive engagement at the point of attack. His blend of size (6’5, 256), length (33⅜” arms) and explosive testing (39.5” vertical, 10’11” broad, 9.96 RAS) translates to consistent displacement and pocket compression. Dennis-Sutton lacks elite cornering ability and can stall out when his initial move is neutralized, with limited flexibility to flatten and finish at sharp angles. He projects as a scheme-versatile, early-down defensive end with long-term starter upside, offering reliable disruption and physicality while continuing to refine counters to unlock higher-end sack production.
  • Penn State signed 2022 four-star DE Dani Dennis-Sutton.
Dennis-Sutton (6'5/250) was ranked as the no. 8 defensive lineman from the 2022 recruiting class and as the 58th ranked player overall. A native of Owings Mills, Maryland, Dennis-Sutton is a multi-sport athlete from McDonogh High School, and has reportedly run a sub 5.0 40-yard dash according to Brian Dohn of 247Sports.com. In addition to Penn State, Dennis-Sutton had also received offers from Alabama, Georgia, Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, Michigan and Michigan State, among other top programs.

  • Penn State received a verbal commitment from four-star 2022 DE Dani Dennis-Sutton.
Getting Dennis-Sutton (6'5/250) is a huge win for HC James Franklin and his staff on the recruiting trail, as the All-American Bowl participant is considered the ninth defensive end and No. 50 overall prospect in the country from the 2022 prep cycle. When asked about the motivation behind his decision to attend Penn State, he said “As far as Coach Franklin, I don’t talk to any head coach as much as I talk to Coach Franklin. He takes pride in talking to the players. Not a lot of the other head coaches do that, you talk to their position coach. I like everything here. The campus is beautiful. You get a lot of time to workout without a lot of distractions.” Dennis-Sutton also cites PSU’s track record developing edge rushers Yetur Gross-Matos and Jayson Oweh as a major influence as well. He boasts prototype length and athleticism coupled with the requisite lower body flexibility to run the loop on the outside. He should be an immediate contributor for the Nittany Lions starting in 2022.
