  • PIT Defensive Tackle #92
Wisconsin redshirt junior DE Isaiahh Loudermilk (arm) practiced on Wednesday.
Loudermilk (6'7/293) has been nagged by a left arm injury for much of camp. There has been no indication that the redshirt junior might have to miss game time, but we’ll continue to keep an eye on this one as the Badgers near their season-opener against USF on Aug. 30 (they’ll be playing that one a week from Friday). Loudermilk was a six-game starter while working as a rotational cog with Wisconsin last season. He’s a likely starter for the coming campaign.
  • PIT Defensive Tackle #92
Wisconsin redshirt junior DE Isaiahh Loudermilk (arm) returned to practice in a limited capacity on Thursday.
Loudermilk (6'7/293) has missed two practices this week due to a minor left arm injury. While he is not yet practicing to full capacity, there is no reason to believe this arm issue will keep him out for much longer. Loudermilk started six contests last year and is tracking toward a potential starting role so long as he can get right in reasonably timely fashion.
  • PIT Defensive Tackle #92
Wisconsin redshirt junior DE Isaiahh Loudermilk (arm) did not take part in Monday’s practice.
Loudermilk (6'7/293) is mending from a left arm injury, but it is not considered a serious concern. Health was an issue for the redshirt junior last season, when he missed four games due to knee/ankle issues. Of the nine games which he did play in during the campaign, he made six starts, recording 15 tackles (2.5 for loss) with three passes defensed for the year as a whole. Loudermilk is an expected starter for the coming campaign, but the likes of Matt Henningsen and David Pfaff will be waiting in the wings to help out should his arm issue take a little longer to heal up.
  • PIT Defensive Tackle #92
Wisconsin redshirt sophomore DE Isaiahh Loudermilk (left leg) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against Northwestern.
This is the third straight game Loudermilk, a regular starter, has missed. “He’s making progress,” UW coach Paul Chryst said. “We’ll continue to find out and see. It’s really that with all the (injured players), kind of see what happens as the week progresses.”
  • PIT Defensive Tackle #92
Wisconsin redshirt sophomore DE Isaiahh Loudermilk (leg) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game Illinois.
Loudermilk (6'7/300) was sporting a walking boot last week. He hasn’t been ruled out for the year, but we won’t see him this week.
  • PIT Defensive Tackle #92
Wisconsin redshirt sophomore DE Isaiahh Loudermilk (leg) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game Michigan.
Loudermilk (6'7/300) missed the opener while rehabbing from knee surgery, but had come back since. It’s not clear if his current leg issue is related to that surgery. The redshirt sophomore was spotted in a walking boot on Wednesday. Look for redshirt freshman Matt Henningsen and junior David Pfaff to help fill in against the Wolverines on Saturday. Just when Loudermilk might be ready to return should be considered an open question.
  • PIT Defensive Tackle #92
Wisconsin redshirt sophomore DE Isaiahh Loudermilk (knee) is out for Friday’s game against Western Kentucky.
This one isn’t a big surprise, as the 6-foot-7, 300-pound defender underwent surgery on his left knee in June. The hope is that he’ll be ready to play by the Big Ten opener, which takes place on September 22 against Iowa. He’s projected to be a starter when he returns, but we’ll see if that remains the plan three games into the year -- assuming he’s ready to go.
  • PIT Defensive Tackle #92
Wisconsin redshirt sophomore DE Isaiahh Loudermilk (knee) is cleared to play on Saturday against New Mexico.
Loudermilk missed the opener against the Western Kentucky because of issues with his left knee; as he’s recovering from a surgery that took place in June. The 6-foot-7, 300-pound defender will be back on the field against the Lobos, however, and he’s expected to be a starter at left end for the Badgers.
  • PIT Defensive Tackle #92
Wisconsin junior DE Isaiahh Loudermilk underwent surgery on his knee.
Loudermilk was projected to be a starter on their defensive line prior to suffering an injury. Wisconsin HC Paul Chryst said “Isaiahh is going through (rehab) and we’ll see where he is at with it,” and added he “has been doing more, which is good.” Loudermilk saw action in 11 games last season, recording 11 tackles.
