LB Jordan Beck is expected to be placed on the injured reserve no later than Sunday after he had season-ending surgery Thursday to repair a fractured left foot.
Beck suffered the injury late in Atlanta’s 23-7 victory at Jacksonville last week.
  • DEN Linebacker
Falcons linebacker Jordan Beck will miss the season with a broken left foot.
The rookie third-rounder was expected to be a key reserve for Atlanta. The Falcons did a good job building depth at the position, so it’s not a huge loss.
  • DEN Linebacker
The Falcons have come to terms with linebacker Jordan Beck, a third round pick. Terms were not disclosed.
Beck should fit in well with coach Mora’s defense. He’s tough and quick. Expect Beck to back up Ed Hartwell to start the season.

The Bengals worked out free agent LB Jordan Beck on Tuesday.
Beck is a natural middle linebacker who could help on special teams. TE Tim Massaquoi and Ks Josh Huston and Nick Novak also were at the tryout.

    Broncos signed LB Jordan Beck.
Beck worked out for the Broncos last week, and the team apparently thinks he will make a bigger contribution on special teams than D.D. Lewis, who they released.

    Falcons waived LB Jordan Beck.
Beck never improved much after being taken as a 2005 third-round pick out of Cal Poly. He ultimately lost his spot to undrafted rookie Tony Taylor.
  • DEN Wide Receiver
Broncos waived WR Marquay McDaniel, P Sam Paulescu, G Dylan Gandy, LB Jordan Beck, CB Wale Dada, and DT Steven Harris.
Paulescu’s release means Brett Kern will be Denver’s punter.

Falcons reserve linebacker Jordan Beck (neck) is expected to play this week after sitting out Week 3.
Beck, mostly a special teamer, had lost some feeling in his shoulder because of a pinched nerve, which kept him out of the Saints’ loss.
  • FA Linebacker #57
Keith Brooking opened Atlanta’s first minicamp at middle linebacker.
Brooking prefers the weak side, but is a team player and the best option the Falcons have inside. Michael Boley lined up on the strong side, as expected, with former nickel ‘backer Demorrio Williams at WILL.
