Browns signed QB Josh Harris off Baltimore’s practice squad.
Great move. Harris is a mobile QB with a big arm expected to challenge for Baltimore’s backup job next season. The Ravens just couldn’t use the roster spot on him because of injuries. Harris might be the backup in Cleveland - this weekend.

Rookie QB’s Josh Harris (Bowling Green) and Brian Gaither (Western Carolina) will battle for the third QB spot on the Ravens.
Harris is the favorite, but the Ravens won a bidding war for Gaither’s services as an undrafted free agent.

Giants waived QB Josh Harris, DT Sir Henry Anderson, RB Decori Birmingham, S Adrian Mayes, and G Kevin McAlmont.
Harris, behind Jared Lorenzen and Rob Johnson, didn’t have a chance to make the team. Mayes was a free agent pickup from Arizona. Anderson, McAlmont, and Birmingham are all former undrafted free agents.

Browns released WR Richard Alston, WR C.J. Jones, LB Jamal Brooks, LB Omar Nazel, CB Dyshod Carter, G Enoch DeMar, G Mike Pucillo, S Michael Grant, TE Paul Irons, RB Sultan McCullough, FB Ben Miller, DT J’Vonne Parker, T Greg Randall DT Amon Gordon, LB Ivory McCoy, and LB Renauld Williams.
Doug Johnson made the Browns roster, probably behind Charlie Frye. Undrafted rookie wideout Josh Cribbs made the team and should help on returns.

Josh Harris is currently ahead of Charlie Frye on Cleveland’s depth chart.
Frye has reportedly had a rough summer. If Harris remains the backup going into training camp, look for the Browns to sniff around some veteran quarterbacks.

The Ravens selected Bowling Green QB Josh Harris with the 187th pick of the NFL Draft.
The Ravens get intriguing Kyle Boller insurance in the sixth round. Harris is exceptionally fast, with a cannon for an arm - the type of QB that was supposedly taking the NFL by storm a few years ago. Most of Harris’ experience has been out of the shotgun, so he’s still got a steep learning curve.

The Ravens signed sixth-round pick, QB Josh Harris (Bowling Green).
Josh Harris signed a three-year, $982,000 contract. He’ll likely go the practice squad during the season once Anthony Wright is healthy.
